5.0 out of 5 stars Very powerful and lightweight
Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 2024
I have only used it once but started the vehicle with no problem, I like the fact that it is lightweight compared to my Snap-on unit that's probably 10 years old. He only thing I like better about the snap on unit is when you clamp onto it it gives you the voltage prior to jumping and the voltage coming back after you jump it to know the alternator is working but the fact that this thing is so much lighter and probably more powerful it is worth carrying a separate meter

Had a completely dead and internally shorted battery on an abandoned car and this thing lit it right up. Tried it on several dead battery vehicles and it is really a great jump pack. Tried it out on an old Toyota and it cranks it over faster and stronger than I had ever heard it crank. Will be trying out on Heavy diesel engines and report back.

Yes its on the expensive side, and also does not include a charger. I'm using an Anker 30W charger, (manual mentions a NOCO 60W charger) with the 30W I just leave it overnight and its ready to go . I also sprung for the NOCO hard case, but bought that straight from the manufacturer as it was cheaper there.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing power tested 300 times a year!

I own a towing/roadside assistance business and every truck carries a GBX155. It has amazing power, light weight, and very small compared to the old lead jumper packs. Never had a problem with the GBX155 or a vehicle that it will not jump start and we do 300 plus jump starts a year. I recently tested the one on a 1995 Ford L9000 Aeromax dump truck with a CAT 3176 engine which powers many semi/dump trucks. It has 3 batteries in series for starting. The truck sat for 2 years so the batteries were completely dead...hooked up the GBX155 and the truck started. I was amazed it actually worked, but I needed to keep restarting the truck until the alternator finally took over so the engine would run on its own which triggered the noco overheat protection light, but the engine was running...job complete. The overheat light went off about 10 minutes later and still works perfect.

This product looks and feels it’s made To be really tough. I had a smaller version of this for years but now I’m dealing with transporting cars in the snow which are completely dead at times. Will update in a few months about the performance of this particular unit.
I am a little disappointed with one key factor as advance as this looks I was very surprised not to have a C port to C port charger. This unit was way too expensive not to have that included with the product. Also the two A USB out ports are only 2.1A. That is nuts, as advanced this unit is Those A ports should be higher amps in the year 2024.
My $50 portable phone charger has higher amp in its A USB out port.

Do!!! not invest GB-X series of Nico products.
This is hands-down, an inferior line of products Compare to GB models. I am a true believer in Nico products. I had GB 40 for 4 1/2 years and GB 50 for about six years.
My GB 50. So considering that, I decided to go a step up and invest a serious amount of money and get GBX 155, Big mistake on my part like big mistake. my GB 50 had more backbone than this GBX 155. For Contrast I jumpstarted two dead batteries Off Jeep patriots, a dead battery of a F150, And a dead battery of a Chevy Malibu. And this jump box was dead, Down to its last bar. Compare to the GB 50 I was able to jumpstart almost 9 cars before it died out. I will be sending this back through warranty. Hopefully they find that there’s something wrong with this and fix it but if they tell me nothings wrong with it, they can keep it.

Pls !!!!! Don’t buy noco GBX models. Not a good product

I still recommend Nico GB models. They are way better.

Great product, everything fit and finish is next level quality. That being said it is big, but for the power that is to be expected.

5.0 out of 5 stars Started my semi trucks
Reviewed in the United States on March 4, 2024
Started a completely dead semi (Kenworth T680), easily. This thing is brand new to me so later I recharged it. Now I think I probably didn't need to already. A few days later I started another T680 that was also completely dead. This time I didn't recharge it and about a week later it started a completely dead reefer unit. This one was so dead I had to use the override feature. Again, it started fairly easily but I immediately disconnected it and it died. Think I should have left it running for a few seconds more before disconnecting it. After that happened it caused a whole "thing" because it takes so long for the reefer to go through it's start up cycle and you just have 60 seconds to start to use the NOCO so this caused a few times where the NOCO was powered up but then wasn't able to be used and had to start the whole procedure over again. Once I got the timing down though, again, it started the reefer unit fairly easily, let it run for several seconds before disconnecting the NOCO....good to go. I love this little unit. It's a beast! Had another one that's SUPPOSED to start semi's with 6000 amps (small little unit)....total dud.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great so far
Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2024
Used GBX155 once so far and it worked awesome. Started a Freightliner with a DD15 and dead batteries without a issue. Air temp was in the 70s so not sure how well it will work in cold weather. The only reason for 4 stars is I wish it came with a charger and not just a cable. The cable is a USB A to USB C so it takes a real long time to charge. To fast charge a USB C to USB C cable and wall charger will need to be purchased separately.

I use my new car for road trips. Is isn’t my daily driver. Was going on a trip and my battery was dead. The dealer told me because of all the electronics, I have to crank my car every couple of days to keep it charged. NOT happy about that; however, this charger is a life saver!!! I keep it in the car and have used it many times.
