5.0 out of 5 stars TL;DR: 10/10, comfortable for side sleeping, decent sound, good app experience
Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2024
The unboxing experience was decent; it comes with a 1ft USB to type-c charging cord, a user manual, and a good selection of tips and wings. The case and earbuds were fully charged for me on arrival.

The case is lightweight with a pleasant texture and makes up for its width by being reasonably thin.

They fit very well and sit almost flush with my ears, leaving little pressure when lying on my side. I shook my head to test if they'd stay in, and they didn't budge from what I could tell. I haven't tried the breathable tips yet, but the normal ones do a mighty fine job.

It's important to note that they are noise masking, not noise canceling, so they work more like earplugs if you aren't playing anything, but I have a small window unit ~9ft from my bed and couldn't hear it with ASMR playing unless explicitly trying to.

The sound quality is average for earbuds, but that almost works in its favor as earbuds for sleep. I wouldn't recommend them for all-day music listening, but I would recommend them for music listening while falling asleep.

I haven't messed with the app too much, so I wouldn't take this as definitive, but it isn't half-bad. There was a firmware update for the earbuds, which had no issues installing, and it features the ability to create sleep sounds. There are options to stop the music once you've fallen asleep, switch to sleep mode once you've fallen asleep, calibrate the sleep detection, and customizable tapping actions.

All around, a 10/10 product. I took a nap for the first time in over a decade with these. Remember that your ear sizes and shapes, audio preferences, and sleep habits will influence your experience!

Pictured: The case next to the top of a soup can; The case between a golf ball and a deck of cards; Top down view of the case with the earbuds in it; An earbud with the wing and tip removed next to the case and in front of a replica Lego brick; The different sizes of tips and wings (the top tip for the pair of large sealed tips is medium; it comes with two larges in this selection and the medium sizes are on the earbuds by default, but i had to swap my left one)

5.0 out of 5 stars They seem to work well and last a LONG time!
Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2024
My biggest problem with earbuds for sleep has been that they simply don't last long enough. I had been using regular Anker earbuds for sleep, but they would only last about 4 hours (even though I've read they should last longer). I would wakeup in the middle of the night, put them in my ears, turn on my phone, select a "rain" sound, make sure it's on repeat, and maybe they would last until morning.

These Sleep A20 earbud have completely solved all of those issues! If I play my usual "rain" sound, they'll last about 8 hours, which is usually sufficient. If I, instead, use their built-in sounds, they last more like 14 hours! They basically end up having about 20% power still even after a long sleep! Amazing!

They're very comfortable. My ears itch a lot and thus get scratched and irritated, so sleeping with earbuds putting more pressure on them makes them hurt a lot! These earbuds don't put hardly any pressure on my ears at all, so only very rarely do I end up with any pain at all.

I will say, however, that you must be very selective on using their built-in sounds. Some of the sounds have a short and noticable repeat. My brain instantly picks up on that and I find myself being kept awake just waiting for the next repeat! I finally found that the "jacuzzi" sound, coupled with one of the special anti-snoring sounds, seems to work. It gives me a little water noise, which I like, but it has no noticable repeat, so even though my brain still tries to find it, I finally give up and fall asleep anyway.

There have been a few times when I go to put them in and notice that the app says the right earbud has 20% power still. I've been trying wipe the contacts before replacing them in the case and I think that helps.

By far the best sleeping earbuds I've tried so far, and they don't cost a huge amount either!

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good for side sleepers
Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2024
Got these for listening to music as I fall asleep. These are the most comfortable I’ve found for side sleeping. Sound quality is average but better when you adjust the equalizer. A little pricey for what you get. Good battery life. Well made, easy pairing. Not unhappy but will likely only use them in bed. I have better air pods for quality sound listening.

5.0 out of 5 stars Transform Your Sleep Experience with Soundcore Sleep Earphones
Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2024
I recently purchased the Soundcore sleep earphones, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. These earphones have truly revolutionized my sleep experience, and I give them a well-deserved 5 stars.

First and foremost, the comfort level is exceptional. The earphones are incredibly lightweight and fit snugly in my ears without causing any discomfort, even when I sleep on my side. The soft, flexible tips create a secure seal that blocks out ambient noise, which is perfect for creating a peaceful sleep environment.

The sound quality is also top-notch. The soothing sounds and white noise options are crystal clear and have a calming effect that helps me drift off to sleep quickly. I've also used them to listen to audiobooks and soft music, and the audio is consistently rich and immersive.

Battery life is another standout feature. The earphones easily last through the night and even have enough charge for an additional night if needed. The charging case is compact and convenient, making it easy to take the earphones with me when I travel.

One feature I particularly appreciate is the Bluetooth connectivity. Pairing with my devices was seamless, and I haven't experienced any connectivity issues. The controls are intuitive and easy to use, allowing me to adjust the volume and switch tracks without fumbling in the dark.

Overall, the Soundcore sleep earphones have greatly improved my quality of sleep. They are comfortable, deliver excellent sound quality, and have a long-lasting battery. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to enhance their sleep routine.
