    I LOVE this printer! I was a little hesitant from some of the reviews but nothing but praise from me. The setup was easy with the on screen prompts. Detected and connected to my network right away with no issues. The print quality is absolutely awesome. Bright vibrant colors. Yes it's a little loud-but not unbearable loud- and only when initiating a print job. Power saving mode is a big plus. Excellent printer.

    I always need laser printers for home office. I don’t print enough to buy high end and inkjets dry out too quickly. This printer is a little noisy but it’s fantastic for business use. Probably not great if you print pictures, but for home office it works well. Is wireless, supports AirPlay, and requires little attention.

    You would think that in 2024 getting a network-attached printer to print from a modern OS like Windows 11 would be trivial right? Unfortunately that's not the case.

    First problem: This printer refuses to work with my wireless network. I have a Wifi 6 mesh system in my house and this printer sits less than 4 feet away from the main unit. It can detect the wifi network with no issues, but rejects my password EVERY SINGLE TIME. I've even tried changing the network password to 1234 to make mistyping it literally *impossible* but each time the printer will tell me that the wifi password is not correct (spoiler alert: it is not). This is the ONLY network device I have bought in the past 10+ years that I've had trouble getting to connect to wifi, and it's supposed to be easier than ever these days.

    Okay fine- I'll connect it wired- like I said, the device is 5 feet away from the router so I'll just plug it in. Network detected, great! Now I'll just set up an IP reservation for this device so it always has the same local IP address.. nope, my router doesn't see it. Like it literally _does not show up_ in the list of clients, even though the printer says it's connected.

    So even though it's 2024 and I've bought a _wireless_ printer, I'm stuck with a ridiculously long USB cord and using windows printer sharing so everybody on my network can print. Absolute disappointment.

    I've been wanting a laser printer forever, and I'm happy I got this one. I was switching from HP because I am sick of their pay-to-print forced subscription model. This one allows any cartridges, prints great, and is a great size for my small home office. So far, connectivity has been stable and consistent.

    Setting it up on my MacBook Pro was relatively easy, but printing from my Pixel phone was more difficult. I fought with the Cannon app for far too long before I read an online tip to use the Mopria app. It worked beautifully the first time. So, if you are having difficulty with remote printing, try Mopria (not a paid advertisement, just your average user who wants to print from my phone :-).

    This was a replacement for a ten year old Canon printer, which finally showed its age. It was was very quiet. This unit prints just as well, but makes a LOT of noise while printing. I can't imagine why. Also, the cartridges are a completely new size, so the old ones don't fit. And then I spent hours trying to activate the wifi, which required entering my password. My password has a few numeric digits in it, but the printer does not accept numbers. I called Canon customer service, but the tech had to put me on hold while he researched the matter. Finally, he came back and told me how to enters digits which required using a hidden, unlabeled and undocumented set of keystrokes. The printer did not come with a user's manual - but it might not have mentioned it anyway.

    This printer is absolutely awesome. Its print quality is just superb for my uses. I did read some negative comments about how loud it is but its no louder than my HP model it replaces and I have no issues with it in my home setting. I mostly print waterslide decals with this printer and it took me a hot minute to get to know the Canon print dialog functions but man it surpassed my expectations.

    My first Canon Printer of any kind, also my first Laser printer of any kind. I needed a laser printer for art projects, but I also use it for regular printing too.
    First, it is sooo fast! Color rendition, 80% ~ which is fine for my needs, It does what I need it to do. I have used it for 6 weeks and still satisfied, and still on the starter toner cartridges. I had difficulty setting it up, I only have an iPad and I bought this because of price, and the mobile connection.
    I was very frustrated, so I called Canon support. The support agent was superb, he stayed with me for an hour while I slowly set it up, he was knowledgeable about iPads, connections etc.
    My only cons are the Canon mobile print apps for this . First, the permissions required to give all your data do not sit well with me, so I do not use them, 2nd, the mobile app itself isn’t that great. Otherwise I am very happy with this printer and would recommend it.

    The printer is fine. Canon isn't known for ease of use in their printers. The print experience is fine. For a no nonsense business printer if you just print occassionally it's fine once you get it all set up.

    HOWEVER, you won't be able to print if you're trying to be quiet. This thing is LOUD when it's running. A lot of clunky mechanical noises. Also the LCD is super low quality - it's like an 80s calculator. It also took me like 5 tries to get it to connect to my home network. It's also large and kinda heavy - well larger than other units in it's category... It won't be easy to hide or tuck under a desk.

    So for the price - I think it's just fine. But I wouldn't be shouting from the mountain tops about it. It's "good enough for government" as they say. It's a solid 3.5 stars..
