Solid kit that has everything you’ll need to hook up amp to oem radio. This kit has worked great for 10 months but I just ran into my first problem. Turned on car and no sound out of the radio. Closer inspection revealed that the amp had no power so I took a look at the fuse near the battery in the hood and one cap of the fuse had detached. Fortunately, it was a $2.50 fix from AutoZone who had the same 60 amp fuse in stock. Overall good kit with everything I needed to hook up my amp. Just FYI, that if you lose power to the amp suddenly to first unscrew the caps of the fuse holder to see if the fuse is still in tact. The metal bar inside was in perfect condition yet fuse was busted. I have no idea how long these fuses are supposed to last, but would be a good idea to pick up some inexpensive $2.50 backups for the glove box just in case this happens to you.

There is a review that speaks to not using for systems over 800W and I would agree. The speaker wire is really small and i have 1200W with 10" subs. I changed for larger wire. I'd buy again if I was just doing mids and highs but not for larger subs.

This comes with everything you need, including a LOT of remote wire, which is good, you will still have some left after running the remote from your head unit. The only thing you need to worry about is how you’re going to put a hole through your firewall, that’s literally the most difficult part. Other than that finding a good ground is easy, I just wish the ground wire could be a tiny bit longer, but I understand why it is not. The amp powers my subs well, and boy can they get loud, I’m sure there’s better out there, but if you want something to hook up to and power your subs with minimal research and complications, this one is a great choice.

I recently purchased the BOSS Audio Systems KIT2 8 Gauge Amp Installation Wiring Kit for upgrading the sound system in my car, and it has been an absolute delight to work with. This kit proved to be exactly what I needed for a seamless and efficient installation process.

The kit is complete with everything to install an AMP. However, the 4.0 gauge wire seems very thin! There is a thick jacket around the braided copper wire making it appear to have a thicker core. 4.0 gauge lugs had to be crimped with a smaller die to get a solid hold. ALSO, there is only one set of RCA cables included. (My bad for not catching when purchased)

Purchased this kit thinking I would need it for a small amp installation. Ultimately I did NOT need it because I already had the right wiring but when I inspected the contents, I had no concerns. For a small self-powered amplifier or speaker installation, I wouldn't have a problem recommending the use of the kit. It's nice that you have varying wires, protection, fuse, and mounting solutions all in one.
