This unit does everything it's supposed to do, It even has a switch to change it from 11.6 volt to 12 volt cut off for 12 volt vehicles.

It now seems to come with two packages of fuse holders and adapters, he comes with four different types, So no matter what kind your vehicle uses you will have two of them. One for battery power and one for accessory power.

The only reason I'm giving it one star off, Is there seems to have been a slight oversight though this won't affect 99% of people, The low voltage cutoff applies even when accessory power is being applied. So if for whatever reason your vehicle voltage is below the cutoff even though accessory Is being triggered. It will still shut off.

Easy Install, Make Sure You have a Fuse Puller or Needle Nose Pliers

I bought this install kit to go with my Vantrue Element E1 Lite Dashcam. The instructions were good enough but I did refer to a youtube video for my vehicle specifically just as a precaution. Pretty much everything you need is included except for a fuse puller. I didn't have a fuse puller but was able to use needle-nose pliers to get the job done. I will say that if your car uses the mini fuse size, it is very very difficult to push the fuse into the Add-A-Fuse connector. I had to use a lot of force for the fuses to go in but they did end up going in and working just fine. I also recommend getting a circuit tester to determine which of your fuses are always active or not.

Improved Design, Works with older N2 Pro with USB Adapter

The batteries in my Vantrue N2 Pro kept dying so I decided to replace the hardwire kit along with the battery in the camera. This kit wires to the hot battery bus (constant hot 12v), and the switched battery bus (switchable 12v). The old Vantrue kit only wired to switched 12v, which over time caused issues when the camera battery got weak (losing date and time, consistently overwriting last file, no power for “parking mode”), since it’s only getting power with the key on.

This new kit also comes with a selectable switch so it will turn off below two optionable voltage thresholds so it won’t completely drain your battery if the car sits idle for an extended period. But otherwise since it’s connected to the hot battery bus it will have ample power to hold the date, avoid the associated overwrite issue, and keep parking mode functional.

It is compatible with older cameras using a simple USB adapter from USB-C female to mini USB male. I used an additional 90 degree mini USB adapter to clean up the install.

Good Hardwire Kit

The Hardwired Kit has been running for a few weeks now and its not drained the battery yet with the vantrues parking mode set to on. I originally wanted the one that connects into the OBD slot where the computers are hooked up to scan the car when the engine lights come on, but I'm sort of glad I got this one as its not going to block the OBD port. Seems to be a working & legit switch thus far.. I've heard and seen bad reviews, but I've not personally had any issues yet. I used the fuse that controls my seat as it is live & hot 24/7 and it seems to be killing the cam before the car battery dies out to cause any start-up issues. The kit was actually pretty easy to install and run (I did have and use the trim tools for easy prying and hiding) with plenty of cord to spare, in my little Hyundai coupe. I think you'd like it and I don't see anyone having issues with it, giving its the same quality and stock as what I received.

Pros:

The Kit does come with several sizes of fuse adapters for all makes and models.
The Kit has easy covers to keep the wires safe for when you tether the adapter to the main accessory.
The Kit had plenty of cord and should even leave some over for larger sedans/suvs/trucks.
The Kit seems to be working and has not caused battery drainage on my car. [i.e. I have not got in my car with it having a dead battery. car starts normally & battery stays charged]

Cons:

The Kit has no fuse tool.. I've never seen a kit that contains fuse adapters that have no fuse tool. It'd be nice to see future kits that contain the fuse tool! haha. (personal opinion only)
The Kits adhesive strips are a bit cruddy, but 3M isn't expensive for a few strips/clips...
The Kits Fuse Adapter is stiff.. The empty slot on the adapter piece where u place your fuse is way too tight & I had issues with getting a fuse out once it was put in.

Overall:

Its a good Kit and Well Worth the Buy for a 24/7 power supply for your Vantrue N4..

** I do use parking mode with motion and collision detection activated
