5.0 out of 5 stars Works great.

I had one of these for a good 15 to 20 years and it finally stopped working, so this is the replacement. It's a great weather alarm radio. It's easy to set up and is Extremely Loud... it def wakes you up if there is Any bad weather near. Weighs maybe 2 lbs. Bright letters & numbers that are easy to read. Appearance is nice simple & white. It is about as big as 2 palms put together.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great weather radio!

This is a great weather radio. We have tried other brands and Midland is the best. Easy to set up, straightforward instructions, good sound quality and easy functionality. We haven't had a weather alert in our area yet so we haven't experienced a real alert but the test alert function worked great. Would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a weather alert radio.

This was the family's first radio alarm. Easy to setup and program. Radio and alarm work well and is accurate with the weather. Reception was better than expected in home and underground.

4.0 out of 5 stars Radio is great, manual sucks
Reviewed in the United States on March 24, 2024
First background! I have been a tech writer for over 40 years and am critical of manuals. The 1 and 2 stars ratings for this product are probably problems with the manual and not the product, because the user did not understand how to program the unit. It is really easy to program, but the manual is very confusing and incorrect. The first thing that appears when you plug in the radio is LANGUAGE, but the first thing listed on the manual is TIME, so you are already confused on how to set the LANGUAGE. Complaints about not being able to receive a station can be corrected by going to the SET CHANNEL area and scrolling the seven channels until a signal is received, but they don't mention why you should use that section of the manual until after you programmed the State and County, and that leaves the user confused. The sound quality is not good, but that is typical for this kind of radio. The voice is computer generated and clear, but strange sounding. Not the problem of the radio. The complaints about the siren being too loud is the typical volume for this type of device. We keep our radio in the bedroom and you need to be able to hear the alarm all though the house, so you need a loud alarm. Not a defect! To summarize, the radio is nice looking, easy to use and easy to program, it's the manual that is giving you problems. Read the manual carefully!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Replacement
Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2024
I have had a Midland weather radio most of my adult life and the one I had finally decided it was time to retire. I purchased this model to replace it and it works like a charm. It is easier to reach the controls and read the warning screen than my old one was. I just hope it lasts as long as my old one did. Great quality and price.

5.0 out of 5 stars I live in Florida. It’s needed
Reviewed in the United States on March 23, 2024
This alarm system knew where I was living and it put itself into the correct codes. I didn’t have to program it all in. The only downfall is that I hear the mariners weather warning. It has nothing to do with where I live or me personally. That can get annoying. You listen as it falls and you hear it is for mariners. I wish they had their own cords. It really is good. We rely on it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best weather radio for the money

I like this radio because it works great, doesn't drain the batteries inside, and is self silencing after about 10 to 15 seconds.
