5.0 out of 5 stars Great for the money
Reviewed in the United States on May 4, 2019
These are great speakers, not sure if you can find better for the money. I was shocked to hear how well they sounded when I installed them in my cargo trailer. Reviews are tricky because someone has to complain about something small no matter what. For example, the speaker terminal spring clips worked fine without any issues. Not sure how or what they are doing to cause this issue but I didn't have that problem. The sound is full and clear. Not a huge amount of bass but enough without a sub. I wanted more so I added a 8" ported sub which made a ton of difference.

4.0 out of 5 stars Surprising sound from an inexpensive speaker

I was pleasantly surprised by the sound of these speakers. I bought two pair to mount under the bench seats in my Boston Whaler 13 Sport and am powering them with the Boss Audio MGR350B head unit. The speakers themselves feel well made given the price point. I was a bit concerned about low end bass because of the advertised frequency response (80hz) and size of the woofer (4"), but because I basically have them mounted in an echo chamber, the bass resonates throughout the boat is more than adequate. Mids and highs are crisp and are not tinny. I can crank up the volume and get no distortion, which I thought was shocking for cheap speakers. For the money, I am more than pleased with the quality of sound these little units pump out.

There are really two downfalls to these speakers. The brackets are steel, so they are prone to rust. I spray painted them with black paint in hopes that will offer more protection. Also, the grills are steel and are not removable. I wipe them with Boeshield T9 (similar to WD-40) periodically in hopes that will keep rust away. Time will tell how long these last, but as of now, I am happy with the purchase and hope they do hold up over time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for indoor RV/Travel Trailer Use.
Reviewed in the United States on September 22, 2019
I own a 2015 KZ 20RBS with a Jensen Stereo/DVD player and have been disappointed in the sound of the system since it was new. The A-channel are the two cheapy inside ceiling mounted speakers and the C-channel are the outdoor speakers.
Channel B was unused. I decided that I wanted to fix it where the TV would work through the stereo (The DVD would work through the speakers but not the TV) Head scratch ?? Since I was working with the system I decided that I would utilize Channel B and make the sound more full.
Enter the BOSS 4.3" speaker set !!! I just got done installing them in the trailer and they sound amazing. I have a pretty good ear since I have been a musician for years and these little guys have an incredible frequency response with crisp highs full mid-range and surprisingly deep responsive bass. I couldn't be happier especially for the price. These speakers are a perfect combination for the Stereos that come in most Travel Trailers. They are well made and super easy to mount. ****Note I'm a person that likes to listen to music and movies at a medium volume level so I'm not sure how they would hold up if "cranked up". They are rated @ 200 watts but I've always only fed speakers half of their rated amount.

3.0 out of 5 stars Large in size but not in sound
Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2020
These are big! I was thinking 4" small when purchased and did not read the specs. Beware that these are large. Another issue is that for the size of these enclosures, they do not produce very good sound. Don't get me wrong, they are worth the price, but are definitely lacking. The last issue is these are advertised as marine/water resistant... They are not! The grate and the bracket are already beginning to rust after only 3 weeks of use. They are on a pontoon boat and not openly exposed to water or the elements but are rusting anyway. If I could have a do-over I would not purchase these again.

In spite of my JEEP being leaky and parked outside all the time. These speakers are still sounding good.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not waist your money.

These are inexpensive and the quality reflects what you get. I put them in my boat and the speaker covers fell off. Tried to hot glue them in but to no avail. I have only used them three times in the year I had them and they have stopped working all together. Sound was about what you would expect, not good. Not worth the money.
