I bought these shorts for my 7 year old granddaughter. Back to school is 2 weeks away and we live in a super hot desert area. These are perfect for hot school days, and she loves the color and length. They are stretchy except for the waist band area.

My daughter is just now a size 8. Size 7 still fit her. So i thought i would go up a size as she'll grow this summer. These shorts just fit. Being made of 98% cotton, I'm afraid they'll be too small after washing. They have the button adjustment on the inside and they are adjusted to the biggest size. I suggest going up a size as they can be adjusted tighter. Other wise they are very cute and well made. I read they run large but i don't see that in my case.
