What is TYLENOL?
Acetaminophen is an active ingredient in all TYLENOL products and in more than 600 other over-the-counter (OTC) and prescription medicines. Do not take more than one medicine containing acetaminophen at the same time.
How much TYLENOL can I take?
TYLENOL is safe and effective when used as directed. The safety of TYLENOL at recommended doses has been established through 50 years of use and scientific investigation. Do not exceed the recommended dosage as it may cause liver damage.
How does TYLENOL work?
TYLENOL contains the active ingredient acetaminophen, which is a pain reliever and fever reducer. It works by elevating the body's overall pain threshold so you feel less pain, and lowers your fever by helping your body eliminate excess heat.
*Based on a survey of doctors (IQVIA 2021)
Top reviews from the United States
* Great option for those with stomach concerns, they desolve sublingually. Just don't inhale until completely dissolved - my husband learned this the hard way!
* These bypass the stomach and are great for toothaches - just apply directly to the tooth until it desolves..
* Great option for RNY or sleeve patients as again they bypass the stomach.
* Taste like pixie sticks with a slight medicinal after taste.
* Works to tamp down pain fairly quickly (doesn't need to go through the digestive tract then into the bloodstream) so enters the bloodstream quicker.
* Great option for travel, flying or driving - no issues with TSA.
* Good for keeping in your backpack, purse or wallet as my husband does. The lay flat so no pill carrier needed.
* Unlike 99.9% of pain killers these have no titanium dioxide listed in the ingredients!
* Difficult to open - both a pro and con. The pro; children can't open them easily. Con, see below.
Cons:
* Very difficult to open, even following the directions of folding at the line then tearing down the center. Out of the 50+ I've opened, I've only been able to open one following the directions. I use a scissors or if I'm away from home a nail clippers. I now, if flying, add a small pre cut to the pouches since no sharp objects are allowed by TSA and flight attendants won't give you anything to cut them. In a pinch a pen tip pushed through works in this case.
I've recommended these to my friends and family all who've gone on to buy them after I've pulled one out of my backpack and given them one for pain. I have these on subscribe and save, so if you're on the fence - they're well worth at least trying.
Wish they made it sugar free
