5.0 out of 5 stars Loved this series so much!

I had so much fun with this series. I wanted to try something new and I’m so glad I did. I’ve always loved dragons they’re one of my favorite mystical creatures and I loved the idea of it being in a more contemporary setting with the supernatural pieces. The MFC Hayden has a tragic beginning and has worked hard to make it to the Ember Hollow University to become a doctor. Her first day of orientation she runs into one of the MMCs, the handsome and charming Knox who is not at all what he seems and right away he realizes Hayden is the same as him but seems to be unaware. I loved how it took off right away and kept me engaged the entire time and holding onto my seat. Knox and his brothers Easton, Maddox, Cillian and Cael are all hiding a secret and realize that Hayden is made for them, they just have to let her know that. I loved all these characters and the character dynamics. It’s a slow burn but the tension is everything. Each character is so unique and perfect for each other. This series has action, romance, spice, betrayal, forgiveness, hurt, comfort, witty banter, family love, found family and so much more. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Dragons, say no more!

Tessa, writes her stories where her readers can picture being in the books with her characters. The storylines of her books are always enticing, well thought out and have good flow. When I pick up one of her books, I automatically know I am in for a treat, she always delivers. Hayden and her men had me captivated from page one of Twilight of Embers, with each book the character growth and development was evident throughout. Dawn of Flames definitely did not disappoint, once I began reading I could not put it down. I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning seeking the Happily Ever After of the Dragons of Ember Hollow. This series took my emotions on a roller coaster of a ride. One minute I was laughing next I was frustrated with the characters to being sad for the things that these characters endured and experienced. “We all carry scars. But they’re what makes us who we are. What brought us here. I wouldn’t change a thing knowing I got all of you in the end.” This is no dark romance, but some of the things portrayed throughout the series may bothered some for some. I highly recommend the Dragons of Ember Hollow series if you are looking for a why choose, fated mates, dragon shifter, romantasy read. Even, tho I loved all the MMC’s Cael and East still have my heart. I am going to miss these characters. The preview of Crescent Kingdom has me already anticipating it’s release. Brix, has caught my attention and I cannot wait to see how him and Wren know one another.

Just like the first two this book is packed with all kinds of secrets and mystery. Tons of adventure and lots of drama but this book has one thing the other two don’t….the cutest Happily Ever After ever!

This series was such a joy to read and so much fun. The spice is perfect and the plot is awesome and the characters are top tier!

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice Series Ending

We begin with Hayden. She has been taken by a sick political man. I totally didn't expect him to be the culprit.

I like that we finally get an answer to the why of her past and her life. I'm not really surprised by this, but at the same time, I could care less. The sizzling intimacy scenes in this book go from the basic fade-to-black to more risky. I love that her shifter is different but similar, and oh, they made her stand out so much.

Between the council, the rival hordes, the police, and the leak, they have their hands complete, and this book is action-packed with matings and all the external stuff going down.  It is more political than I prefer and less of the initial interaction and romance. I kinda love the wealthy dragon shifter wooing his mate tropes they had in the first book. But now that she is there, we aren't getting that. The reverse harem is sizzling, but the romance can't be all in the bedroom. I didn't expect the dragon heat to take place so soon, but it is incorporated before the end of the book.

Of course, the mean girl has to have the last say and cause issues for the happiness they finally find. Ah, it does finally get resolved, and Hayden's Dragon is a heroine. I enjoyed the series' ending. It was a good read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic conclusion to the series!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5: Dawn of Flames starts right where Midnight of Ashes ended. Hayden is waking up after being taken out of the wreckage of the car accident that left her mates knocked out and unable to help her. We literally get a plot twist at the end of chapter 1. So buckle up and be ready for it! (Does that count as a spoiler? Hope not…)

This book was SO GOOD. I wanted to strangle Maddox a few times (no way this is a spoiler. Just par for the course over these books) but he eventually gets his moment. Easton has moved way up there on my “Hayden’s mates ranking system” and I am forever obsessed with Cáel.

I digress. This book has everything. Suspense, mystery, romance, spice, communication breakdown and recovery - all the things you need in a good, gripping why choose fantasy romance. Tessa did a phenomenal job of pushing the story forward while not creating a million new loose ends that needed to be tied up by the end. Everything does come together really well at the end but it didn’t seem to be rushed just to finish up the series. You can tell she’s been plotting some of this stuff REALLY carefully and there were some sneaky moments that had me shocked. And as always with a Tessa Hale why choose, the spice is spicing.
