5.0 out of 5 stars Thick enough ... but not as thick as I'd prefer - great value though!

I wanted to know the ACTUAL paper weight/thickness so I measured, and am providing to others. For product received on 8/22/2022 measured with a Mitutoyo digital caliper, individual sheet thickness listed below. (DEAR AMAZON ... you should REQUIRE the measurements below for ALL listed paper products sold.)

inches = .0075
thousandths = 7.5
mm = 0.18 mm
calculated "bond weight" = 40 lb bond
calculated "cover weight" = 54 lb cover
calculated "metric weight" = 150.5 gsm
calculated "offset weight" = 100 lb offset

For the "average person" (non printing nerds...):
This paper is about twice as thick as 20lb copy paper. It will hold a crease, has some stiffness, but "wet" markers will probably bleed through. It's about half as thick as "a greeting card" or "heavy postcard" and is slightly translucent (see photos). It is JUST barely workable to print out mail-worthy postcards on home printers. It should print on NEARLY any home printer, as it isn't very thick. Is about as "rough" as normal copy paper, making it "rougher" than the average cover stock; this actually makes it feed VERY WELL on normal printers. Like all heavier paper, it does suffer some curl when printing on a laser printer, so plan to grab the prints after printing and place under a weight (or 'lotta books) to get them to lay flatter.

5.0 out of 5 stars when your mind is blank, your cards should be also.

I was going to review these, but i am drawing a blank (lol). I was not surprised to find out when I opened the package that they were blank, empty, void of visual distraction. I like to make my own ideas a reality on 3x5 cards using my own letters/symbols/drawings. I will say these are the best cards I have in my house right now. I know I will use these and order more in the future

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect!

This product is actually my new best friend. It is just the perfect size for me to write down all of my notes, and I can fill one card with one topic. Before purchasing this, I was using the small ones to make note cards, but I had to use several of them to write down one topic. The card is very sturdy, so my Sharpies or pens don't bleed through.

 Their versatility has truly impressed me – from recipes to flyers to greeting cards, these index cards have proven to be a valuable asset for a variety of projects. Running them through my printer has been a breeze, allowing me to create personalized and professional-looking materials with ease.

One of the standout features of these index cards is their thickness – striking the perfect balance between regular printing paper and stock paper. This makes them a pleasure to write on, while also providing a sturdy feel that instills confidence in their durability.

Whether you're looking for a medium-weight cardstock that's suitable for various printing and writing needs, these Amazon Basics index cards are an excellent choice. Their quality, versatility, and ease of use have made them an essential part of my creative and organizational endeavors. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking reliable, multi-purpose index cards for their projects.

I like the larger size rather than the smaller 3 x 5 cards. Can enter more notes on them. One card per project.
