I recently purchased the Texas Instruments TI-34 MultiView Scientific Calculator for my daughter’s 7th grade Math class, and it has exceeded her expectations. The MultiView display is a game-changer, allowing me to input and review equations exactly as they appear in my textbooks.

The calculator's functionality is impressive. It handles a wide range of mathematical tasks with ease, from basic arithmetic to more complex scientific calculations. The buttons are responsive, and the layout is intuitive, making it easy to navigate through functions and variables.

One standout feature is the ability to scroll through previous calculations. This has saved me countless times when reviewing my work or catching mistakes. The build quality is sturdy, and the battery life is excellent, ensuring it lasts through long study sessions.

Overall, the TI-34 MultiView has become an indispensable tool in my academic pursuits. It's reliable, user-friendly, and packed with features that cater to students and professionals alike. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a high-quality scientific calculator.

My child needed this for school this year and it was hard to find in any stores. It came super quick, in time for school starting, and was a great price. The calculator works great and will work well for school. I She didn't know how the cover worked, so she thought that was cool. It's nice to keep it covered when not in use, and helps keep the key buttons nice and lasting longer.

I needed this calculator to check my son’s math homework when he does fractions. I think it’s the best calculator I’ve ever owned! I love it. It’s sturdy, easy to use, and I love the colors. I had to read the directions to figure out how to do the fractions on it, but it wasn’t too difficult. A+

5.0 out of 5 stars Good calculator that does that job it is meant for (Middle School Math).

Pros:
1. excellent calculator
2. sturdy plastic construction
3. perfect for 7th grade/Middle School math
4. relatively inexpensive

Cons:
1. not really usable for higher level math, so an upgrade is likely in the future well before the lifetime of this calculator is near it's end.

I really didn't want to get this but this was the best choice of the recommended choices from my daughter's school for her 7th grade.
I wanted to go top notch and get something that will last her not only for 7th, but all the way to college and maybe beyond. I mean, really, I bought her the "recommended" calculator last year, now this year this is the best of the "recommended" calculators, and next year, and the year after and the year after than...I know how these things work. EVERY year, I will be buying her a new calculator. Why not just get the best right now and get it out of the way so I don't have to waste time ordering/buying a new calculator every year? Well, I am still a little wary to put a $160 calculator in her hands right now (and she wants a $500 smartphone to boot)...yeah right. Show me some serious responsibility and care for the items you have and then I'll reconsider and get her the things she wants. I still have my calculators from middle school that I used in high school and then in college...and yes, they still work.

Remember one thing....calculators are not like cell phones that get upgraded each and every year. The latest top of the line TI calc is the same one they have been selling for TEN YEARS...and you can still buy the same exact HP financial calculator that I bought over 30 years ago. Yeah, innovation and upgrades are not that common in the calculator industry. The only thing they do is change the exterior appears...all smoke and mirrors.

CONCLUSION: If you have a kid/s going to middle school (especially 7th grade) this could be the perfect calculator to get them. Just try to get on sale...$20 is not bad, but I have seen this go down as low as $10...and that $10 savings goes a long way in buying other school supplies that you need.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great calculator for children needing a non-graphing scientific calculator.

I purchased this for my child who needed their own calculator for elementary (soon middle) school math classes, as a more basic and friendly alternative to my old graphic calculator. It does everything needed for this level of math, but remains user friendly enough for children without being overly complicated. TI is the standard for school calculators so I highly recommend this as teachers and books teach with these types of calculators in mind most of the time.
