This was such a beautifully executed story of friendship, love, forgiveness, growth, and family, but with exceptional spice ????️???????? Nyla K has quickly become one of my favorite romance authors, with some of my favorite characters. I can’t get through one of her books without laughing out loud at characters and their shenanigans, nearly crying at their heartbreaks, being on the edge of my seat with suspense, being blown away by plot twists, and fanning myself during spicy scenes. Trouble is the story of two young men in college who become friends, fall for one another, and have a steamy encounter that has one of them running, leaving both of them broken. They go their separate ways, leading their “happy” lives, until a fateful encounter fifteen years later brings all of those feelings back to the surface, showing our two MMC’s that they never truly moved on. Lots of incredibly hot spice happens, and both of their worlds are turned upside down with the revelations that follow.
I adored the love story between Tate and Lance, and genuinely can not wait for more Nyla K books in the future!

This was a great read. Talk about twisted and turns. Nyla never one to disappoint. I love these taboo, not so taboo reads. So much passion, so much history. I had to take a way a star because I did feel it dragged on a little bit, but all in all a great read.

Blown away from all of the intense feelings that ran rampant while reading this great book! Tate and Lance are the wreck you can’t help but watch because you’re entranced and hungry to know what happened, and the smexy times are extremely hot! The emotional trauma and baggage would require a box car to carry, but following them as they make their way was so good! Their finale was so good!

Tate and Lance were everything!!! This book had me swooning like crazy and also panting like a dog in heat ???? This was a second chance romance done incredibly well. It hit all of the marks! High steam, lots of pining, and romance that will fill you with butterflies! These two characters were developed beautifully. Total opposites, but they fit perfectly together. This book was long (about 620 pages) but I hardly felt it. The pacing was on point. This story grabbed my attention and refused to let me go until I was done. There was so much going on in this story. Things I least expected! I was shook at some of the things that were revealed! I read this book in 2 days and abandoned all responsibilities. This is for sure a top read of 2023 for me. Nyla K is one my fave MM writers! Her writing and storytelling abilities are unmatched. I highly highly recommend you read “Trouble” and the other books in Nyla’s catalog.

I think everything that can be said was said about this book. But I want it to be said again for the record that Lance is the worst. Even by the end of the book I still couldn't sympathize with most of his choices. Except, oddly enough, the cheating! At least with that I could see how the steps he took led him there and even empathize. But the rest of it? Ugh. Tate was great, the angst was good, and I had several days off that I could take time out of to read so the length didn't bother me much. There were minor spelling and grammar errors but nothing that took me out of the story. If you have what some would call a sketchy taste in romance novels, enjoy hate reading, or enjoy this author I would recommend. Otherwise, I would probably not recommend this extremely wordy and detailed book.

I always wanted Tate's story. He is my favorite character from the Push/Pull universe. He has so many layers. Who is Tate, besides hot, sexy, funny, amazing, awesome, and totally cool? Why he's trouble and finally we get into why. Trouble is Tate and Lance's story. Lance is Tate's ex-love interest from college introduced in the Pride story with Ryan and Ben. While it's not neccessary to read the Push/Pull series. It maybe helpful for some previous storylines and characters mentioned in this universe.
It's best to go in Trouble blind. No review will prepare you and frankly there is so much bulk to this story that a review can't do it justice. So many twists and turns. It's a love story with layers. You will devour it, maybe you will be satiated, maybe not. But it is good writing. Writing that keeps you on your toes. Keeps you wanting more of the story and more of these characters. That's the beauty of Nyla K. She always delivers this magical writing. We always want more of her characters. Check your cw

I loved this book. The spice was off the charts and the story line has lots of twist and turns that kept you engaged. I also loved the pace of the book. It didn’t fill rushed or to drag on.

Many times, second books do not live up to expectations of first books.
This time however, I was so very unexpectedly surprised.
The banter, the wit and the references were so refreshing.
I also have not laughed so hard and been unable to stop laughing, in such a long time.
These factors, together with not one but two plot twists, made for a truly wonderful read.
