5.0 out of 5 stars Rv Bed lift
Reviewed in the United States on July 21, 2024
I changed these in about 20 minutes, the pair that came with the trailer barely lifted the cardboard mattress that came with the trailer. I have a great mattress and struggled to lift the bed, but after I installed these I could lift the mattress with one finger! Great Value, and ease of operation! Thank you!

5.0 out of 5 stars It works as intended

I used these to help with the lid on a garden box. It helped but wasn't the right strength (67 pound). So I ordered a more powerful strut (100 pound). It's an improvement but still not as strong as I need. But they do work as advertised. Trial and error method. The lid is heavy and it's made of pressure treated lumber and has double pain glass. The 100 pound struts definitely help ease the lift but not quite strong enough to hold the lid open.

Used for RV bed storage lid. Because mattress is heavy to handle struts were needed as an aid in lifting mattress up to get to storage below.

1.0 out of 5 stars Junk missing part

The package arrival late. The gas struts were sticking out of the shipping box. Two bolt missing to hold up the struts. Horrible product. Don't ever order this
thing.

3.0 out of 5 stars Brackets are not strong enough
Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2024
I bought a 180lb set of these gas springs. They work, but the problem is the brackets bend as you operate the springs. When I open the lid I attached them to it springs right up, but when I go to close the lid, it bends the mounting brackets where the ball screw bolts onto the bracket. It bends it really badly and then the lid starts to close. It seems the brackets are not rated for the same force as the gas springs. It wouldn’t be a huge deal if I could easily find a heavy duty set of mounting brackets, but after a 1/2 hour of online searching I came up with nothing, at least nothing simple. I’m going to have to fabricate some brackets out of 1/8 or 3/16 inch steel.

These are great quality! I built a trash bin and only had to use one for the lid. It opens and closes really easily!
