If you are considering this camera, you likely know what it is capable of. The picture resolution is simply amazing. If you are familiar with Canon's 5d series you'll be right at home. The negatives reviewers give for this camera (low ISO range, video limitations, no GPS) aren't major factors for the photography I do so they weren't factors in my decision nor do they impact my satisfaction.
As far as the deal--wow! I was very hesitant to buy a 'renewed' camera but it's likely the smartest photography purchase I ever made. The camera is essentially new and came with everything a new one would except (I believe) the Basic Instruction Manual and the Quickstart Guide. I got the manual on eBay ($15.98), a comparable 'CheatSheet' from Photocheatsheets dot com ($10.95) and the Asurion 3 Year Protection Plan ($57.99)--and still saved a whopping $1450 over a new camera. Overall--awesome camera and a great value with the 'Renewed' purchase option.
