I have high pile carpet in my computer room. I have used plastic mats for years. Their quality has been declining and price is getting so high. My last one lasted 2 years and got bad cracks in it. It slid all over. I like to be barefoot at home in summer and the sides would always pop up and my feet would hit it and get cut, can then the cracks did that too. So I started looking for throw rugs as an option, but then found this product.

This mat is sooo much better than those plastic mats on my carpet. It barely moves and the edges just barely stick up when I am sitting on the chair on this mat. Even so, it has soft edges and top that won't cut my feet. It feels soft and comfortable. Also the chair rolls decent on it, but importantly it protects my carpet. The nice pattern provides some color the room, which I like. Best of all, it should last many years easily and was a lot cheaper than those bad plastic mat options. I believe this really was the best thing I could get for my high carpet computer room!

I bought this chair mat for two reasons; first, I absolutely hate the hard plastic ones with the grabbers on the bottom because they ruin the carpet and are ugly. second, I had new super plush carpeting and, although I knew this wouldn't work perfectly with plush carpeting, I thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did. Because of the plush carpeting, it does move around a bit. However, it protects my new plush carpeting and allows me to move around on my chair WAY easier than I could directly on the plush carpeting. Plus, it looks great and not ugly like the plastic ones. I recommend for any carpet.

At first I was skeptical about this since it came folded up, akin to a windshield sunshade, but it has been a pleasant surprise. I'm using this on a medium pile carpet. It provides plenty of protection for the carpet, and still lets me roll around. The plastic one I had just allowed the wheels to "sink in", and I couldn't move.

I'd still prefer a littttle bit more rigidity, but at this price point I am happy with it and would recommend!

Product has a softer texture on top, so my chair rolls better than regular carpet, but doesn't have the annoying feel of a plastic mat. The bottom has a gripping texture that is similar to the bottom of a plastic mat, so it stays in place. I've had it for a week, so I can't speak to how it wears over time, but I'm definitely pleased with the purchase. looks to be the only non-full plastic chair mat that looks nice feels durable. Worth the cost.

I've always been hesitant of various mats that work on a carpeted surface, but I'm very happy with this one!

Not only are there several colors and patterns which adds a very nice accent to my office, but the grip HOLDS and the surface is smooth and pretty sturdy, not as sturdy as glass (but no thank you, just don't want it), but I can roll in/out very easily and then "park" and stay put!

Vacuuming this to keep it clean is very nice and easy with a low floor setting.

Overall, this was a great purchase, very reasonable price, and I think will last me a long time.

I bought this because it said it would not move on carpet. I have been using this since June 1st and it continues to slide to the left. It may be the way i slide my chair but it does slide. Every couple of days I have to reposition the mat. I ordered a different chair mat which arrived today. Im saying good by to this mat. I will offer it to a friend and if she doesn't want then in the trash it will go. I would not recommend this mat for use on carpet.

Wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this since it's the first NON-Plastic mat that I've used, however the quality is great, it unfolded and settled well, and doesn't move around. Excited this one shouldn't crack the way the plastic mats typically do.

This one does better than the one I had but it moves. It means I constantly have to take the chair off and reposition the mat. You probably try and figure out some type of tab ( velcro maybe?) that will keep it in position on a rug & still not damage the rug.
