This is life changing and life saving info. The writing is almost conversational and easy to follow. It’s well referenced and gives some real technical details for those who want that. D3 and K2 have the power to prevent and heal disease with minimal cost. What’s not to like.

I love all of Jeff Bowles books, but this one really further opened my eyes! I have taken 10,000 iu of vitamin D3 with the life extension super K pills for 4 years, ever since I read his book on Vitamin D. But now I realize after reading this, that I was not reaping all the benefits I could because I’m low (no doubt) in magnesium, low in zinc, low in vitamin C, and I had not ever even heard of taking boron. Apparently these things all work together, which makes a ton of sense. I’m now taking enough of these and the good changes became apparent within about 3 weeks. Also I added in Niacinamide 50 mg 3x’s a day (see Dr. Mercola articles on this) and iodine. Side note- I took 250mg of Niacinamide daily for 2 weeks to repair my stomach. (I had worms and what a nightmare that has been- massive leaky gut) My stomach felt awesome during those two weeks. But I went back to Dr. Mercola’s recommended dose of 50 mg 3x’s a day after 2 weeks of being on the higher dose. I will go back and forth until healing is complete.
The iodine has been an amazing addition with much improved mental clarity and much deeper sleep within a week of beginning 12.5 mg daily. I do wish Jeff Bowles would do a book on iodine!
Anyhow, all of Jeff Bowles books have merit and I’m grateful that he writes them. This book does not disappoint!

The book was very interesting and presents a compelling argument for supplementing high dose Vitamin D3. I had been supplementing D3 at 5000IU with Vit K2. I am upping that to 10,000 IU. I have noticed in a very short time that some issues that I have are getting better! There were many important points presented like the importance of Magnesium, Boron and Zinc pools, why they are important, and what effective dosages look like. I gave it 4 stars because much of the book was saying Vit D3 cures everything (and maybe it might if only we knew how....?). There is a bit more to it and more research could have been presented). The author states that there is more to know. So, maybe preliminary to give the book this title. I like the book and I'm glad it's in my library! I know more than I did before!

Every home should own a copy of this book. It is a must have. Makes sense out of all the nonsense in the world of so called health care.

Wow! I couldn't seem to get through this book fast enough. I have taken certain key minerals and high dose vitamin D3 for YEARS with amazing results. I take 50,000 IUs of Vitamin D3 along with 15 mg of K2 daily...now for over 6 years! When doctors find out what I do they are dumbfounded because my blood calcium is normal, my coronary arteries have zero plaque despite a bit higher than recommended cholesterol levels. This lack of plaque buildup verified with a coronary artery scan with calcium scoring.

I don't have any arthritis despite a familial predisposition to get this degenerative disease. I never get the flu vaccine and RARELY ever get sick. The last time I got anything was about 3 years ago and it was very short lived...less than a week. Those around me who weren't supplementing fought this flu/cold for up to 3 weeks! The coughing, runny nose, feelings of malaise kept going on and on. I've also accidentally had a long drink belonging to one very ill person using a straw and I never even got a sniffle!

One of the things I really enjoyed reading was the history of how government has dealt with supplements.

All his statements were well supported with facts. Although his writing style shows enthusiasm and humor not normally seen in cold, scientific papers, it is no less informative and important. I think his writing style is a great technique to catch the attention of people, no matter their background. Medical professionals would do well to stick with his reasoning before jumping to the conclusion that what he writes has no merit. If you have doubts about what he writes and the bold, unabashed information and conclusions he presents, look them up yourself. We all have access to the information, Jeff Bowles just allows you access to his excellent analytical conclusions. Dismiss them at your own peril!

Then don’t take high dose vitamin D without doing research and due diligence first. In fact, you shouldn’t take high dose D for a couple years AFTER you’ve reversed you t2d! Yes, vitamin D helps in the cancer department, but you don’t need to take an insane amount of it in my honest opinion. During the colder seasons, especially winter, I personally take more vitamin D, but not a crazy amount. Otherwise I’m outside getting a nice tan (I usually take 6mg of astaxanthin a day for a couple weeks before knowingly going out in the sun so I don’t burn). Magnesium, copper (along with vitamin B6 and taurine helps absorb both magnesium, iron, and a plethora or other vitamins, amino acids, and minerals) and thiamine (or benfotiamine) are key to reversing t2d along with a healthy, none junk food diet. High dose vitamin D depletes magnesium, so it shouldn’t be attempted by t2d folk until 2 years after the conditions have been reversed.
