About this item

A dance instructor sees Reflections of herself in a talented student—and of the love she can embrace with the student’s father—in this passionate novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts.

Lindsay Dunne has devoted her whole life to ballet, pushing herself and her students to achieve the perfect beauty the craft requires. She loves her career, helping ballerinas grace the stage, and has never found her lack of a loving relationship to be a sacrifice. Until she meets Seth Bannion, the guardian of Lindsay’s most gifted protégé. An architect with his own ideas of the girl’s potential, Seth challenges Lindsay’s tutoring, opening her eyes to the possibilities of a future beyond dance—and opening her heart to the possibilities of love.

Reflections: (InterMix) (Bannion Family Book...Nora Roberts. I really enjoyed this book, it was hard to put it down and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. It drew you right into the story, you could picture it and you felt for them. Great job.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finding a new dream

I have been a fan of Nora Roberts for years and have never been disappointed in any story written by this prolific author.

In Reflections, Ms. Roberts provides a glimpse into the world of dance and the difficulties associated with working towards being a lead dancer.

The main character in this story feels the loss of it all when she gives up the spotlight to help her mother out. While dealing with the feelings and loss she finds the love she has been waiting for when a former dance partner comes back into her life. Offering her the opportunity to dance again in a performance he has written. In agreeing to work with him she looses the man she has fallen in love with.

A great story with interesting characters about finding new dreams.

3.0 out of 5 stars Oh how you've grown Nora Roberts

It's quite easy to forget that, like anyone, Nora Roberts had to learn her craft.. This novel is an excellent reminder of how far she's come. The pacing here is excruciatingly slow, all of the major characters except Seth are incredibly long-winded thinkers, laboriously going over and over every minor nuance of every major or minor thought or feeling they are experiencing. Pages and pages of puerile feelings are minutely and repeatedly examined. And these pages are generally preceded or followed by long descriptive passages of where they are, what they're wearing, smelling, seeing, or eating as they think and feel! And when Seth finally reveals his feelings, we understand immediately why the narrator has spared us an interior peek at his inner self. When we finally see inside Seth, it's ugly in there; he's a dictatorial, domineering, angry, selfish, unlovable man. Yuck!! Oh, it all comes out OK in the end and they live happily ever after, I suppose, but by that point, I really no longer cared much. Read the novel mainly if you want to see the depths from which Nora has risen in the 21st century!

4.0 out of 5 stars Nora Robert is a very good story teller

No one tells a story with as much heart or flare as Nora Roberts. Her characters are well thought out and real, her dialog rings true and rarely seems stilted even in these early stories. She is a master of prose vividly evoking the places where her stories are set, so much so that I can actually see the place in my minds eye. This was a sweet story of love and angst and lack of communication. Predictable happily ever after but if you want realism read the newspaper.

I thought it was very good. The male character was so intense and Leslie was so easygoing. The end of the book was very good. Thanks Kit Ryan

I’ve read this book more than once over the years, love the story. The introduction to Ruth and nick is wonderful! The way they overlap eventually with the stanislaskis does not disappoint.
