Had this product one month two weeks and it is not working now because of this part falling out into the ice holder. Also it will not stop making ice even though the ice is full and all the way up to where the eyes should trigger it to shut off.. Better by the extended warranty!

The Aeitto was it for us!
Quality of the Ice / Water Used:
I’m not an ice chewer, so I can’t speak much on that but I did try to chew a few. They are hard, but not so hard it’s a struggle to chew on them. When the ice goes into my drink, it cools it down almost instantly and I feel that’s because the ice melts. I use filtered water from a ZeroWater filter and I check the water using the filter’s testing wand to make sure the TDS is at 0. I want to prevent any mineral build up in the machine where I can. Keep in mind this ice shape isn’t for everything, but it’s making us super happy with what we use it for. Just be careful of diluting your drink.
Amount of Ice / Making Pace:
The machines pumps out ice at a very fast pace, enough to where I can 2-3 scoops of ice each time I refill my water bottle while eating and not worry that there won’t be enough for others. I love ice and can drink a lot of water so I can probably use 6-8 scoops of ice in a sitting. Not to mention my fiancé is right beside me pulling from the basket, which is more than enough for two ice lovers. We recently pulled the whole ice basket to make a cold water bath to cool down some homemade jam and found the basket was already nearly half full maybe 15-20 minutes later.
Size / Placement:
This is a bigger machine. I was a bit nervous when I purchased it since I knew that counter space might be an issue. We had an amazing idea to pull it off the counter and sit it on a stand right next to our coffee cart. Between the two of us (5’4” & 5’11”) the height and placement of the machine doesn’t bother us at all with the basket hovering about 24” above the ground. Note the stand I have is not made by Aeitto, but a bamboo shoe rack that happened to fit the machine perfectly (BMOSU 2-Tier Bamboo Small Shoe Rack Premium Stackable Shoe Shelf Storage Organizer for Hallway Closet Living Room Entryway Organizer(Natural))
Sound:
To preface, I live near railroad tracks and have more of a tolerance for louder noises but I love my peace and quiet. The Aeitto machine hovers between 37 dB - 50dB when it’s idling or actively making ice. This is a very quiet machine that I rarely notice on in the background. If I do notice it, I would say it’s comparable to a computer fan kicking into high speed to cool down a machine. Check out the video I have with the machine switching into ice making mode from idle. I have not experienced any issues with high pitched squealing noises that are associated with other machines. I’ve seen reasons where the machine required defrosting or just internal damage causing the noise. The Aeitto has been on 24/7 for about 2 weeks now and no issues.
Draining:
I never realized how important drain placement was until I bought an ice maker. Our first machine had two separate reservoirs, one for water to make the ice and another under the ice basket to catch any water and the ice melted. Because we didn’t take our ice out right after it’s made, the ice would melt and the basket reservoir which meant I would have to scoot the heavy machine back to the sink each day to drain it. The Aeitto’s fill reservoir and drip reservoir are the same, under the ice basket. THIS IS AMAZING. I can leave the ice in there and if it melts, no big deal, it goes right back into the reservoir where it’s then used again to make more ice. This makes sure I always have fresh ice and my water isn’t wasted. It’s such a small detail that makes a huge impact coming from a machine that needed to drain every day.
Price:
This is a pricy machine — I caught it on a deal where it was 50% off and we were thrilled with that price. Knowing what I know now, I still would’ve bought this at full price, especially since we were considering the Opal with a side tank. This machine is well worth the money.
If you’re on the fence, take a chance and buy it! We’re glad we did!
