I paid half the price retail for this and I was financed I cannot find the same deal anywhere I wanted to get another one but not at regular cost

A little pricey but wow...I mainly got this for home security and to use at work. I'm almost wishing I'd gone ahead with the Scout III 640 but as I was originally looking at the Scout TK...I'd say this is more than good enough for what I need...

Great product if it works for you, but don’t try to get a quick refund, mine was going to take a month! Sent it back Feb 5 they got it back Feb 8 they said they were going to ok the refund on Feb 24 and issue my refund on March 5! There is something wrong with this! Not a happy camper!!!

It works as expected. I like it. Makes it really easy to pick out animals in low light and no light conditions.

Only thing I wish is that it had an anti-fog lense. When wearing a face mask in cold weather exhaled air clouds the lens blurring vision.

bought this to help with nighttime navigation on ICW. not near as helpful as i thought it would be. this added very little if any to my after dark abilities to safely navigate. once something was seen with the naked eye, it could sometimes be confirmed with the flir but was never seen any better with the flir. this would be good for man over board but not real helpful for navigation. in the marina's and other areas where docking there is usually adequate light and this did not provide any add'l help. i returned the item for this cost. otherwise, quality was quite good. might be good for outdoor hunting or similar. not unhappy with product, it simply did not meet my needs.

for 2k it's compact light snd durable. It has its use in identifying heat and basic shapes people vs animal but for hunting i wouldn't use a flir.. ir hunter/trijicon have very crystal clear optics that allow much more precision identification of landscape and animal types .

Does it work? Yes. Will it work for you? Depends on your application. Each person has there reason for buying this product and I believe the company made the product to fit each application and each persons wallet size. Buy according to what you can afford and what you believe the product will do for you and you will be satisfied. The manufacturer provides instructions for use. There not compost or bookmarks there for you to use it to the best of the products function and your ability. If you go to flir's website you can preview how to use it for any application for optimum use and get a wealth of knowledge. I do recommend going to a place that sells the product where you can view it in person to satisfy the what if's. If you are willing to take a educated chance. Then by all means go ahead. Products have defeats coming off the line. Its something manufacturers plan for and are ready to deal with (The good Ones!) as soon as you let them know. They will replace it if it does not work to specifications. They want your business and care if your satisfied because they want more of your business and your word means alot to them. Again the good ones do. Not everyone has good business practice. Do your research to make you a confident buyer. Don't let 1 stars sway you away. And use youtube as well for confident info for buying.
