I'm a professional video editor. Times are tough and when someone gives you a picture slideshow gig, you can't say "No." After meeting with the client, I knew that using Adobe Premier wouldn't be a good plan. They wanted fades into a photo album background. This software promised to do that. I looked at the product demos on-line and watched some videos too, but unless you only have 5-10 photos you want to use, this product is USELESS. I wish I could get a refund.

I created a great organizational video using it. We combined photo's and video's with sound / music and transitions and it came out flawless. After about a half hour we were very comfortable in putting the video together. For an amateur as myself the video looks as if a pro put it together.

Heart attack maker. That's what I call things that lead to such intense frustration that it may actually shorten your life. This software has the potential to be awesome. If you let it do it all - the wizard can put together something pretty great, however, if you want to get in and tweak things - it flakes out and freezes, becomes unresponsive. My hard drive sat dormant, didn't even spin up when I would click to edit something. It choked even just clicking through the pictures. I have a high end Dell Laptop, running Windows 8. My husband is a computer professional/software developer. He kept saying - It's not the computer... it's the software. Back to Memories on TV I go.

A few GLITCHES

Great concept- but a lot of glitches. I lost my entire project 3/4 of the way through a custom video and it caused a ton of stress. The link to the file was not coming up- after about 2 hours of searching and trying - we clicked on a random picture from the video and it ended up loading. Thank you Jesus! But for a few hours- it was horrible and made NO sense whatsoever! This is not a tool for people like me that needed to learn it quickly and have it be done in a few days. It took me 50+ hours to make a tribute video. Back breaking. The quality was great- but I rated it lower becuase of the problems I had and the 3D efffects had MANY glitches and I couldn't use alot of them.

If you are patient and willing to take multiple stabs at the same project, you can get what you need out of it before it crashes. But you have to know exactly what you want and how to use the program to achieve that. But you don't really get to tinker around, because it might not be coming in the next minute, and it might not be coming in the next five minutes. But the crash IS coming.

Slideshow is not consistent. Loaded100 pics and avg slideshow. 4 pics looked fine in config. But poor and not as designed in slideshow. Save your money

Excited...and then sadness....

i was so excited to begin my slideshow video with this product. ...and then my excitement faded when the program kept crashing. since i am not very computer literate, i had thought it might be my computer. after having the computer checked out and finding that the computer was fine, that only left the product as the culprit. I then bought ProShow Gold. WOW... it was wonderful ! I can say that Photostory had better slide "themes"...but i was able to complete my video with ProShow Gold ! It never crashed !

I was overcharged for the program which I downloaded. The contact number turned out to be a non-working number. When I finally found a way to email the company, they would not adjust the charge to my satisfaction. I would not do business with this company again. The program itself did not work smoothly.
