The cable that comes with the Raspberry Pi camera is shorter than I needed. This is actually longer than I need, but it works. One thing I didn't realize was that the socket on the Raspberry Pi 3B+ has a lift-up clamp that then needs to be pushed back down to lock the cable in place. (This was simply my ignorance (caused by an omission in documentation for the board, and not anything to do with the cable.)

I used it to attach a camera to a 3D printer. The camera is mounted on the printhead arm, which in turn moves often and quickly, and can move quite some distance. I needed a much longer connecting cable than came with the Raspberry Pi 2 camera, and this was my choice. Completely satisfied.

Does the job, it is pretty long, and very good quality. I use it for the touchscreen, and this cable is much faster and better quality than the stock one. It is pretty expensive, but it is a guaranteed good-quality product. It is pretty long, so if you are planning on mounting the raspberry pi to the touchscreen like me, a PHD in cable managing would be good.

I was initially turned off by the non-prime shipping but it arrived very promptly a few days later. It was a perfect length to mount my octopi server under the printer and route the cable up to the camera near the print bed.

What is extraordinary, is one day before I arrived home from work the roomba decided to get adventurous and broke into the room where my 3d printer is. It somehow snagged the power cable for the pi, drug it under the roller, and in the process pulled down the pi itself, and then twisted and wound up the camera cable around the rollers in a fascistic fashion. Then it drug everything back to the dock.

I arrived home not too long after, hung my coat, put down my keys, went to empty the roomba and shake off its rollers to find this raspberry pi murder scene.

Surprisingly everything still worked perfectly fine. 10/10 durability.

Bought this to put a Pi Camera in a 3D printer with Octoprint. It was the perfect length for the job. These cables are awkward when trying to change direction slightly as you get kinking but where space is at a premium these are perfect being so flat.

this cable is pretty much identical to the really short one that came with the camera. the one meter cable lets me hook up the camera so i can actually work with it. i have mounted the camera on a tripod, connected to the one meter cable, and then connected to the Pi module. there is no interference of any kind with the longer cable, but your mileage may vary. there is nothing in my setup that could generate much interference, but your setup might be different, so be advised this might be an issue.
