OUR DANISH LUXURY COOKIES ARE BAKED IN DENMARK

The Royal Dansk brand was established in 1966 where a range of crisp, delicious and luxury products were born. The cookies were packed and delivered in a recognizable tin showing the old Danish farmhouse named "Hjemstavnsgaard" from the island of Funen in Denmark. The tin was used to maintain freshness of the cookies. It was resealable and reusable for storing in general, and some people used it simply as a bowl to serve from. It's a matter of no surprise that it was known as The Blue Tin. Today the Royal Dansk Butter Cookies are enjoyed all over the world, and the cookies are just as delicious as the ones baked so many years ago. The design has been slightly modernized to follow the trend of today. The recognizable royal blue packagings and the Royal Dansk brand are, as always, a mark of high quality.

80,000+ reviews, and not ONE reviewer here will admit the truth. So I'm just going to come out and say it. Because everyone is thinking it. And if you agree I'm right, I expect you to place your order as soon as you're done reading. So here's the truth.....

Yes, these cookies are TASTY. They are rich, sweet, crispy. You can practically smell them just looking at a picture of them. But that's not the only reason you're ordering them, is it? It's not the only reason why we ordered them. So what is it?

WE WANT THE TIN.

I don't care where in America you were raised, you grew up seeing that classic blue and gold Royal Dansk tin. Your grandma, aunt, or maybe your mom kept her sewing supplies in one. Your dad or your uncle kept spare screws, nails, washers or other stuff in one that didn't quite have a place in a toolbox. Maybe you remember one with spare change. Maybe a place to toss a wallet, keys when we get home. Or maybe it was filled with the "junk" and various items that didn't fit in that ONE DRAWER in the kitchen that was overflowing with random stuff that didn't quite have it's own spot. Batteries, scissors, thread, some tape, that remote control that goes to something you don't even remember anymore (bonus points if you remember the remote missing its back).

The Royal Dansk Danish Cookie Selection offers a decent variety of flavors that are enjoyable enough for an occasional treat. The cookies have a classic taste with no preservatives or coloring added, which I appreciate. However, the overall experience doesn't quite justify the price point. For the amount and quality provided, it would be ideal if the cookies were a bit cheaper. They're good, but not outstanding, and a lower price would make them more appealing for regular purchase.

I saw these on sale and I bought them up real quick. Gave it as a birthday gift too. The birthday boy use to tell me about the little tin cans his mom use to save. Thought be a nice nostalgic touch to his birthday presents I had given him. Boy, did he eat these real fast too. The tin can is not like how they make it anymore. Yet the flavor is still as tasty. Glad the extra buttery flavor is gone along with the greasy fingers too. Must buy if you want a cookie snack.

Don't fall for the inferior 'Danish Style' butter cookies sold at many stores. I've been ordering Royal Dansk Danish Butter Cookies for many years. Great taste, melt in your mouth, and perfect for dipping in my coffee (or wife's tea). This big tin is a bargain.
