About this item

A troubled young mother yearns for a shot at redemption in this heartbreaking yet hopeful story from #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover.

After serving five years in prison for a tragic mistake, Kenna Rowan returns to the town where it all went wrong, hoping to reunite with her four-year-old daughter. But the bridges Kenna burned are proving impossible to rebuild. Everyone in her daughter’s life is determined to shut Kenna out, no matter how hard she works to prove herself.

The only person who hasn’t closed the door on her completely is Ledger Ward, a local bar owner and one of the few remaining links to Kenna’s daughter. But if anyone were to discover how Ledger is slowly becoming an important part of Kenna’s life, both would risk losing the trust of everyone important to them.

The two form a connection despite the pressure surrounding them, but as their romance grows, so does the risk. Kenna must find a way to absolve the mistakes of her past in order to build a future out of hope and healing.

This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster that I never wanted to end.

From the very first page, I was drawn into the lives of the characters with a profound sense of connection. Hoover's masterful storytelling painted vivid pictures in my mind, allowing me to fully immerse myself in their world. The way she delicately weaves together intricate plotlines and intricate emotions is nothing short of brilliant.

The main character's journey of self-discovery and growth transcends the pages, making me reflect on my own life experiences. It was a reminder of the power of love, forgiveness, and the resilience of the human spirit. The beautifully crafted narrative evoked a wide range of emotions, from heart-wrenching grief to heartwarming joy, and everything in between.

Hoover's ability to create flawed, relatable characters is truly commendable. They felt like real people, with their own fears, insecurities, and dreams. As I followed their personal struggles, I couldn't help but root for their happiness and find solace in their triumphs.

Another aspect of this book that struck me was the exquisite prose. The author's words flowed seamlessly, painting poignant images that danced across the pages. The vivid descriptions and powerful dialogue transported me to different settings, immersing me in both the beauty and harshness of the world Hoover had created.

"Reminders of Him" is a story that will stay with me long after I turned the last page. It serves as a gentle reminder that life is a complex tapestry of moments, both big and small, that shape us into who we are.

Colleen Hoover has once again demonstrated her prowess as a storyteller extraordinaire. Her ability to evoke intense emotions and touch hearts is truly remarkable. "Reminders of Him" is a must-read for anyone seeking a profound and deeply moving literary escape.

In conclusion, I give this remarkable novel a resounding five-star rating. It's a beautifully crafted story that reminds us of the transformative power of love, loss, and resilience. Colleen Hoover continues to enchant and inspire her readers with her extraordinary talent.

I tried to listen to the audio book of this 2 yrs ago and didn’t get far.

I decided to pick this back up at 3pm yesterday and shocker - couldn’t stop. Not sure why I torture myself this way. It is almost 1am.

This book is good. The plot is … hard and well written, and so so sad. I mean - the book is terribly sad but it is also hopeful in a way that I couldn’t put it down.

There is much that is … not enjoyable. The topic matter of death, guilt and depression aren’t easy to read or fun to think about but in the end we get forgiveness.

I can see how this would make a good movie.

The book was so amazing start to finish. It’s touching and realistic. Just be advised that it’s a tearjerker. At one point about 1/3 of the way, I started crying, and never stopped. It totally touched my heart and had such a great flow. It wasn’t cheesy at all, or overly dramatic. I literally cannot stop thinking about the story, days later. Definitely recommend.

So well written and such an eye opening and heart opening story. Like all the stories I’ve read from her this one has a unique side of a story most of us would probably NEVER even be interested in knowing about.

Ive read about half of Colleen Hoovers books this year (and counting). I'm a big fan. For perspective, my all time fav of hers is Heartbones. I have to say, I think this one is a close second to that... if not right beside it. This book is a bit heavy and gloomy but I promise you, it's worth it. I just finished it and ohhh, it's so good. I rushed to write this review. Many of CH's books have very sultry plots and I think this is lighter in that department. It deals with loss, growth, regret, longing, forgiveness, love and everything in-between. I don't want to give anything away but I recommend this book. It's got all the feels. I'm not a cryer, but this one gave me tears and good bumps. CH is the woman!
