I was looking for a smaller light for my bedroom that didn't give off to bright if a light at night. This was the perfect light. It's the perfect size to put on your nightstand. The fact all you have to do is reach over and touch the base to turn it on and off, and also to dim and change the brightness is a plus. The arm is chrome and can be adjusted if you want to adjust the light towards you for reading or towards the ceiling for some ambient light in the room. There's a plastic plate in front of the bulb so the light is warmer and not so bright. There is a USB port on the side that I plugged my charger for my watch into. It sits right onto the nook to charge my watch. It has a standard wall plug that plugs into the wall. The base and lamp shade are black in color and a chrome neck. This a very durable, portable, and versatile lamp that anyone can use.

Very sturdy lamp, the different lighting options is great. The size is perfect. It's not too heavy and it's not too light. And I love that you can just tap it to change the different settings of light.

Its nice to use either bright or warm light shades along with how bright or dim that you want them. But the buttons on the front are rather hard to distinguish without a light to see them. They are even with the surface of the base so can be tricky to find the right one.

This lamp was a pleasant surprise it is replacing an old incandescent lamp that looked just like it same size but this has an LED light bulb and you can control the brightness and the Hue with the simple button it. I only have one issue, if you plug your lamps into smart plugs and all of your lights are hooked up in a smart home network this one will not work because lights have to be in the on position for it to work and this one has the adapter on the plug itself and so if you plug it into a smart plug voice commands will not turn on that lamp because the lamp is in the off position and I know that sounds a little complicated but just trust me you have to just give up the idea that you're going to be able to turn on this lamp with your voice command but I can live with that the button is easy you just let your finger on it and it's fine so all in all well worth it

This is a great desk lamp. You just need a light touch at the base to power on or off, which is great when in the dark! The different light intensities are a bonus.

I guess it's really cheap to manufacture a 'switch' that is basically a touch sensitive pad without any discernible moving part or something that would signal to the user that it's been toggled on or off. There is also no indication of switch location, so in a very dark room you would have to turn the light on first in order to find the location on the plate that needs to be brushed with your finger to turn it on. Um, you can see the problem there. And the switch works maybe 2/3 of the time (actually there a re 3 switches, and each of them works only 2/3 of the time, but not always consistent with each other). So this simple lamp is actually a rather complex and confusing bit of furniture. Once it works it works fine, though. I like the light qualities available, which can be adjusted to time of day or mood.

Note 1: Bulb cannot be replaced. But maybe it lasts so long that doesn't matter.
Note 2: Description says "charge' when it should say 'power.' The light does not have a rechargeable battery but requires a cord connection into a power source, which could be a computer via a USB connection.
