OK, I just had to add my experience in getting this phone working with Tracfone as my carrier. Tracfone (now owned by Verizon) is very difficult to deal with!!! I purchased the "Keep Your Old Phone" Sim Card KIt, since one was not included in the box containing my new phone, and it had be a Tracfone card. I bought the card on Amazon Prime (overnight shipping) from Phickey64. After I tried to activate the phone on-line I ran into many problems. The kit included three nano Sim cards (ATT, T-Mobile, and Verizon). Since all I had to go on was that I had purchased a factory fresh new unlocked phone (Samsung Galaxy A71), I selected the "Verizon" Sim nano card since Tracfone is now owned by Verizon. I contacted three different Tracfone customer service reps all of which were useless. The reps told me that this phone was not compatible on the Tracfone network, I was also told that the phone was not CDMA -LTE and cannot work on their system. But yet, when I entered the phone’s IMEI # into the Tracfone web site it said “good news this phone is Tracfone compatible”. One service rep transferred me to their “corporate office”, and this one told me that i needed to now buy the “Bring Your Own Phone Sim Kit”, and not the “Keep Your Own Phone Sim Kit”. That is absolutely false since the SIM cards in the two differently labeled kits are the same three Sim cards. On Tracfone’s web site it says that Tracfone has a generic Tracfone CDMA compatible LTE Sim card that can be sent to me, if it was not in the purchased kit. Since it was not in the kit that I had purchased, I called to obtain the elusive fourth Sim card. Finally, I managed to be transferred to someone in the Tracfone “warehouse”. He was the best customer service rep ever! He asked for the Sim card numbers on all three of the Sim cards that were in my “Keep Your Own Phone” Sim Kit. He finally determined that I should have been using the T-Mobile Sim Card instead of the Verizon Sim card. He waited patiently for me to swap out the Verizon nano Sim card, and replace it with the T-mobile Sim card. Then he activated my phone. It works just fine now. So according to Tracfone while my brand-new phone was unlocked factory fresh, Tracfone viewed this model as keeping or bringing in a T-Mobile phone. So try all three cards before seeking assistance from poor customer service reps at Tracfone.
