5.0 out of 5 stars Works well! Directly replacement for 2003 Honda Pilot. Denso quality.

High quality alternator for my 2003 Honda Pilot. The factory alternator although runs fine but I know it's on borrowed time at over 185k miles. The replacement until from Denso fits right in without any drama. High quality just like the Honda OEM.

1.0 out of 5 stars Died after 3 weeks.
Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2018
Only lasted little over 2 weeks. I was too lazy to open case within the 30 day return policy.
Had to contact manufacturer and have been waiting to hear back for a week now.

Will update this review if I hear from anyone.

Update: Manufacturer did not honor warranty. I was referred back to Amazon. After going back and worth with Amazon. They agreed to do partial refund and was able to ship it back.

I will never buy any remanufactured parts again. I went ahead and bought a new alternator from local parts store.

    Arrived on time, looks good.
Our 2004 Odyssey exhibited multiple warning lights and (the indicator) showed all doors open while driving. Trusted mechanics and the internet told us the alternator was responsible.
After fifteen seconds I found three youtube videos on how to replace this bad boy. Watch all three videos, they all have their good points and they all have bad info. I removed one extra standoff and was able to take the alternator out "through the top", winding it through where the reservoir had been.
The van is back to normal, all is well, this part has been working fine for two months. No noises, smoke, or weird stuff.

UPDATE: the part died within two years. The warning lights and open door signals had reappeared.
My trusted mechanics said the voltage regulator had died.
Out of warranty. Dammit. Just dammit.

I figured that the path of least resistance would be to just buy another one and install it. The new one has been working great. Maybe I'll find someone who can replace the voltage regulator on the removed part.

I recommend that if you're just going to sell your car and you need an alternator, buy this. If you want to stay out of Hell you might want to warn the buyer. Otherwise spend more money for a better part.

1.0 out of 5 stars voltage regulator never stops charging, kills battery
Reviewed in the United States on August 30, 2019
I wish I never bought this alternator. installed on 2002 odyssey and put a voltage meter on it, even when the battery is fully charged from my battery charger the voltage never cuts off while driving. it keeps supplying the full voltage to the battery and now the battery is fried. do yourself a favor and dont get this. and plug in a voltage meter in your 12 volt port and watch it while driving, maybe mine was defective but the alternator looked brand new
