I purchased these water shoes in 2 different styles for me and my wife when we went to Jamaica. At first, I was a little skeptical due to some of the reviews on questionable durability. The shoes were so inexpensive that I took a gamble and I am so glad I did. We wore our water shoes as our primary shoe the entire trip. These shoes lasted through Snorkeling, ATVing, hiking, and also lounging around the resort. After a full week of vacation activities, they still look brand new. I just purchased another pair as a spare. You cannot beat these shoes for the price!

I originally bought these to wear to the lake but I have since started wearing them more and more, mainly in times when I would normally wear flip flops. They are very durable as they held up to a couple of hikes up to the top of the zip line at the lake and the backs held up to the forces of being clipped to the harness for the two water landings I did. They look good too and they've replaced my flip flops for quick trips to the store, taking the dog out. Because I started doing that, I realized the benefits of lightweight barefoot style shoes which has made a huge difference in my stability when walking. I give these a 9.75/10 rating!

First and foremost, I'm a male who wears a size 8.5 EEEE shoe. My wife says I have Neanderthal feet because they aren't just wide but also thick. These aren't advertised as wide but are adjustable and stretchable, fitting my feet perfectly. I ordered the size 8.5 and they fit my feet perfectly after letting out the laces some.

Second, the sole is much thicker than any other water/river shoe I've previously owned. And let me tell you, I've gone through my share of water shoes trying to find a pair that fit and don't hurt my feet when walking through a gravel bar or stepping on a pointy rock in the river. These perform better than any previous water shoe that I've owned.

Third, they keep the sand out but drain nicely. I have zero complaints about fine sand getting into my shoes and irritating my feet. They performed very well here too.

Fourth, they dry quickly when placed in the sun. The drainage is good and the materials are made to dry quickly.

Fifth, they got compliments on being good-looking or "cute" as my wife said. I wasn't going for looks as much as function, but hey, if they look good while performing well that's a good thing.

They've held up well over the last 2 floats so I can't speak for longevity. They appear well-made for water shoes. If I get 2 or 3 seasons out of them, I'll be happy at this price point.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends and/or family.

I buy this type shoe for work, I have arthritic toes, and I love not limping back to my car in pain after a 13 hr shift. I’ve been using these type shoes for over 2 years now, and highly recommend the ones without the tongues (which slip and can cause pressure on top of your foot). These fit well, but for some reason the cut around the ankle isn’t quite the same, and it tends to slip off my heel periodically (maybe it’s just this particular pair, or the fact the clip on the strings doesn’t hold well, not sure) Luckily I’m able to get it back on quickly, but it can be a hassle at times. Other than that, been using them for 6 months, and other than having to replace the memory foam inserts I use with them, they are holding up well.

Observations:

* NOTE* Make sure and get 1/2 a size bigger than your actual shoe size, otherwise you'll be returning the first pair.

* Shoes are comfy, easy to slide on and feel good on your feet.
* They're light weight and feel like a sock with a traction.
* I would not recommend wearing these hiking, my feet were sweating within in minutes, and I don't think these are designed to wear with socks. (Stick with hiking shoes for hiking)
* I did swim in them, which worked OK, but you can definitely tell you lose thrust in breast stroking. (Not winning any swim competitions with them on)
* If you are in a rocky/sandy terrain debris can easily get inside the shoe around your ankles and heels, no biggie but it happens. (I did not fault the shoe for this)
* Taking your feet out of the shoe almost always pulls the sole out with it. (No big deal)
* They didn't dry as fast as I thought. (Just leave outside overnight should be fine)

Overall, there's some gripes, but mostly not the shoes fault, just what you need to expect from this type of shoe. Wearing these are far better than sandals, thongs, or shoes on a beach or a river/lake by a mile, definitely worth the buy.

Good support, comfortable, excellent color and material. Protects the toes and easy to wash off, don’t wear too long because tend to get a little sweaty but over about 4 hours but are excellent for walking (you don’t feel every pebble), the sole tends to scrunch up when you remove the shoes (but I assume it’s for easy access to wash). Pretty thick on bottom and durable. The material is stretchy but strong and being a dancer stability and comfort are key and these lil’ guys deliver. Love them!

I've bought so many of these type of shoes over the last couple of years, they're great. I use them for running on a treadmill and using a cycle bike. They're durable, thin, easy to throw in the wash machine and easy to pack for a trip. Highly recommend!

This is my second pair due to the 1st being a size too small. I gave them to my 11yr who is a size 8 mens. I'm a 9.5 women's and found out I need a 10. But quality seem wonderful, feeling is great. I also like to just wear them around and that feels good as well. Nice glove-like feeling, they don't feel like they will loosen up with wear as some others. Overall, great option.
