I got these for my daughter, husband, and I to play around with together, and we like them a lot! They were very out of tune when they arrived, but after some time spent tuning them, they sound just fine. I saw other reviews complaining about this, but they're tiny instruments shipped in a box, of course they're going to fall out of tune. If I dropped it on the floor I'd have to re-tune it. Just plan to tune them, and if you're not looking to do that, take it to a music store or buy one in person in the first place.
They're solid build, nice quality, and we think they're easy to tune and play! The little flute is a really simple plastic thing, but it was a fun little addition to find in the box. (Daughter is more interested in tooting away a single monotone note on the little flute than playing around with the kalimba, but hey, she's having fun!)
