Provide a guiding light at night with the Luminara Flameless Candle Nightlight. Like most nightlights, it plugs into an outlet and pulls from the house electricity for its power. No battery required, which also means there's no risk to young children and pets accidentally swallowing small button batteries. The prongs of the nightlight fit standard US outlets.
The Dusk to Dawn sensor turns the nightlight on when the light dims to a certain level, then turns it off again when it gets brighter. You never have to feel your way down a shadowy hallway again, even when heavy cloud cover blocks the sun. The nightlight also can be manually turned on and off by a button on the base next to the light sensor.
This candle nightlight uses the same flickering Real-Flame Effect technology as seen in Luminara pillar candles, votives and tea lights. The body of the candle itself is plastic rather than paraffin wax.
This realistic looking candle nightlight creates a serene effect anywhere you want it without risking your family's safety. Unlike traditional candles, it can go anywhere you have a free outlet: in the bathroom next to towels or tissue, in the bedroom near drapes, in backless bookshelves, and more. I have these nightlights in both my bathrooms. The are beautiful--the flickering is very realistic (when I'm outside in the yard with dog and look in the bathroom window--it looks like a real candle is in there1). They also produce enough light (but not too much!) so I can walk into the bathroom from a dark hall at 3:00 am and I can see just fine. However, they are expensive. Way over priced frankly. But here's the thing folks, save it for later on your list, watch it for months, and one day it will be on sale for like $19.99...that's what I did. Scored my first on a sale--went back for a second--shocked by the price increase ($34.99 type price)! Waited like 6 months, being patient, boom! They went on sale again.

Pictures and videos don't do this little night light justice, it is so much nicer in person. I bought one for our guest bathroom and not only does give such a warm feeling when you walk in, but the light is just enough that I don't have to turn the ceiling light on. I liked it so much I bought another. I just wish they weren't so expensive but i was able to take part in the sale, at least

This is my second Luminara flameless candle night light. The first one stopped flickering after several years of use. The original light still illuminates, but it won't flicker (which provides the illusion of a flame.) The dusk/dawn functionality of the original light also stopped working, so I had to cover it with black tape to get it to work. I expect this new one to last a couple of years like the old one. It is a steep price point when it only lasts a couple of years. But that aside, I love the flickering flame.

I placed this wonderful night light in my bathroom. It puts out the perfect amount of light! My husband even likes it as much as me! We love that it is a flickering candle! I will definitely purchase a few more!

If you are a candle loving, warm lighting lover like myself, you will buy these for every room. They’re so realistic without the worry of remembering to blow them out. I have 4 of these in our home and enjoy them very much. They add nice ambience to each spot we’ve placed them in. However, after chasing around for information on the off/on switch feature and getting nowhere, I finally made a discovery. People kept replying with where the button is (which I knew) and that it would come on automatically at dusk (which I knew), etc. My issue is with an en suite bathroom in our guest room that does NOT get enough daylight to shut the nightlife off. I did not want it running all day long and burning out quickly since these are not cheap nightlights. I’ve learned that the off/on switch works great if you want to turn the nightlight ON when the room is light enough that the sensor has not called for it to come on. However, the off/on switch does NOT allow you to turn the nightlight off when the room is dark enough to activate the sensor to turn it on (as is the case in the bathroom we have). So the only choice I have is to unplug it all day long. I’m not exactly sure why you’d want to turn it on in a perfectly light room but not have the ability to turn it off in a dark room with the switch. To me it’s a design flaw, but we do enjoy these little candles. I’ll just go back to an old fashioned nightlight with an off/on switch for that bathroom. Hope this helps anyone who might be facing the same issue.
