I cannot believe how functional and convenient this is. I got it as a crayon sharpener for my 4yo, and it works great for that, but you can sharpen pencils with this thing, too. Empties easily, but it *does* sometimes come open and dump out on its own, particularly if you let it get really full. It's really easy to use, and looks cute sitting out. This is the best non-motorized sharpener I've ever used.

Sharpens pencils and crayons VERY well. Pushing it down to open the holes to insert them isn't hard at all. Empties easy as the bottom. I highly recommend this.

So I bought two of these for my classroom to sharpen crayons. One works great and one has crayons all jammed around the blade. I guess I should try to open it up and clean it out but was disappointed that I had to do it so quickly after the purchase.

Works well. I love that it has dual sizes for pencils and crayons and a removable bottom to keep the shavings in. The push up design also keeps the pencil box neater and little fingers safer.

The pencil sharpener hole is terrible. Sharpens only one side of the pencil and if I keep twisting it to get it to show the lead fully on all sides then it sharpens it so much that the tip breaks or falls off. Really bad. Crayon sharpener works good but that’s to be expected.

I needed to sharpen pencils for student's notes on standardized tests. I have 140 students throughout the day, it was a lot of sharpening.

My hand didn't hurt, I could sharpen one in less than 5 seconds, a few twists and it's done, sharpened. It's really comfortable to squeeze and twist, very little debris escapes when you lay it down on a table. It's hands down the best sharpener I've used.

I like this for sharpening my colored pencils when I'm traveling and it's a great value. It'll sharpen thicker pencils too.

I loved these type of sharpeners as a kid but it will not sharpen pencils AT ALL. havent tried crayons yet. very disappointed
