5.0 out of 5 stars A really good and easy to use paper shredder.

My wife and I purchased this shredder to replace and older model that I had for years. Amazon shipped this shredder to us quickly and well packed to prevent any shipping damage. This shredder's ease of use and quality of the job it does impressed us the very first time we used it! We would recommend this shredder to anyone looking for an easy to use 6 page shredder for a home office. It's easy to use, light weight, and does a great shredding job.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product

I've been using the same paper shredder I got back in 2001, and it finally gave up the ghost. I figured I'd have to buy a crazy expensive model that does super secret squirrel cutting.

But no! Amazon to the rescue! This thing is quiet, efficient, cuts to a great spec, and was significantly less than expected. Plus, it can take a thick hunk of paper without jamming.

Just gotta remember to take care of this BEFORE it becomes an issue.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this shredder!

Great shredder!!! I put this thing through the test for sure. It hasn't jammed up or overheated at all despite hours upon hours of use shredding cardboard. It shreds quickly, it's quiet, has the power most shredders can only hope for, nice size bin, the shreds are perfect size as I use it to shred cardboard boxes to make into coop bedding for my chickens. I can get a lot of boxes shredded very quickly. Saves me hundreds if not thousands of dollars in not having to keep buying pet bedding as I clean out my 150 chickens once a week. I absolutely cannot live without this shredder!!

4.0 out of 5 stars You will need a vaccuum or a broom when you empty this shredder

Based on the many reviews, a very positive review on wirecutter, and of course the price, I opted for this one. The good: it does the job. It's fairly noisy with just a sheet or two. It actually runs more quietly if you shred more sheets rather than fewer. And most importantly, it chugs along and does the job well. It ran continuously longer than rated.

But... emptying the collector creates a mess. There's not a very good way to know how full the bin is. To empty the bin, you lift off the head off. shreds will rain down some. Second, there's no really good way to lay the head down except upside down. I lean it against the wall where it sorta balances (I do my shredding in the garage). Don't try to remove the shreds from the head - the cutters are very close and you can poke yourself (speaking from experience here). Third, when you emptying the bin, it's EASY to make a mess. The shreds can and will fly around. The bin doesn't fit nicely into a grocery bag unless it's empty. I guess you could use a plastic bag. There's also a nice mist of paper that will plume when you dump the shreds.

All said, the shredder works well, but the engineering on dealing with the shreds could be much improved. The impact is you should expect to have to clean up the debris when you empty the bin.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to set up

I've only had it for a short while, but it works great. Love the window so I can see how full it is. Seems very sturdy and fast. Shredded paper is about a 1/4" wide and varying lengths. Great for security and the end product ends up in my compost. It's a win/win!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing for Price!

This is an amazing shredder at a good price. We do not shred much or often, so having this small, affordable shredder is good. I did not want to pay $60 for a shredder when I maybe shred one paper every week so I saw this and has worked so well. It comes with a year warranty which is good in case something happens. It is small enough that it doesn't really clutter the house and can just be left in the corner of the office.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great !

Just set it up and it works great for basic shredding needs. I did try to test the limits of it and you should use this with flat paper and ease it in. I’m very happy with the ease of use , light weight , jamming sensor , speed. The noise level is about average for this type of machine.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good product, poorly packaged.

The top part of the product was wrapped in plastic and the plastic had melted. (Maybe from sitting in a hot warehouse?) It was a mess and very sticky. I had to use Goo Gone, and a lot of "elbow grease" to get it off. Very frustrating. I do like the size and look of the product, and so far it does its job well. I strongly encourage the sellers to consider a different type of protective plastic.
