This is working well for me. I did replace the hardware with stainless screws with fiber locking nuts and would suggest the manufacturer of this mount to include better hardware for the price I paid for this mount.
Happy to report the mount stayed put very well on the top of my van during my recent 2200mi journey.
the fact that one can have a secure mount and remove it without fiddling with hardware is advantageous to say the least. I will return to this to submit pictures
