5.0 out of 5 stars VERY NICE WHITE MID CASE
Reviewed in the United States on March 7, 2021
Let me start off by saying that this case is super nice and its namesake holds up. It is quiet and I am very impressed even though I have very limited experience building a pc in general. But this is a great starting point case for amateur or experienced builders.

The quality of the case is very high and sets the bar pretty high for other cases in the price range to live up to. Everything I installed went in with ease except my ability to manage all the power supply cables once everything was connected but I managed to fit everything. If you are not installing a HDD in the tray then you could just remove it and have more room to stuff cables in. Thats the only thing I really struggled with because I used green cable extensions. I'm not going to knock the rating of the case for that though.

My components had no trouble fitting in this case. I didn't even have to move any standoffs for my B550 motherboard. There are plenty of wire routing cutouts at the top and bottom. Also plenty of tie down spots on the back for cable management.

The thumb screws for the case were thought out nicely. A very nice feature is the power supply faceplate can be removed and attached to power supply for easy installation through the back. Attach it to power supply with screws the slide in through the back then tighten the thumbs screws to the case. Simple and easy.

There are 3 stock 140mm fans in the case and are very good fans if you don't want RGB. I chose to go the RGB route and purchased 6 RGB 120mm fans instead. You can fit a 240mm AIO at the top or front of case and a 360mm AIO only on the front of case. I chose a 360mm front installation.

Speaking of RGB, the stock double line strip on the front and the strip at the top inside of case are very nice. You can choose a lot of different colors and RGB modes by pressing the button at the front top of case. Or if you hold down the button, it will hand over the RGB to the motherboard software if you everything to sync up. Also, if you choose an RGB power supply, you can see it through the shroud at the bottom of case (see picture). I was concerned at first that I would not be able to see my RGB fans through the mesh front but was elated to see that my worries were for not once turned on (see picture).

I have acrylic RGB covers for my SATA hard drives which you can see to right of motherboard. The location is nice to show off the hard drives if you want. But there are options to not.

There is also 3 removeable dust filters included. 1 magnetic at the top. 1 kinda hinged on the front. 1 at the bottom that slides out for easy cleaning.

The glow that reflects off the case is beautiful ambience...very satisfied once light are off.

In summary..I know I rambled a lot but this case deserves it. Great case and well thought out for anyone looking to buy a starter mid case. I absolutely have no regrets buying this. Thanks for reading and enjoy if you purchase!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Build Quality, Quiet Airflow Case, Wished For Removable Fan Mounts
Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2021
I just assembled a dream rig in this case. Noise levels and near silent operation were most important to me in this build, but so was a more compact mid-tower form factor to fit under my desk. I've used BeQuiet!, Phanteks, and Lian Li before for my custom work builds, and this one came down to a choice between the Phanteks P500A and this 500DX. I went with this for its size, noise levels, and thermals. I was worried about losing some of the premium features from the Phanteks, but I was pleasantly surprised. This looks great, is the right size, and is whisper quiet.

Specs:
* Gigabyte Aorus Pro x570
* AMD 5600X
* Noctua NH-D15S Chromax.black
* MSI 3080
* 5x Arctic P14 PWM fans
* BeQuiet Straight Power 11 850w

Great:
* Outstanding build quality, fit and finish.
* Optimal use of space inside. Compact but efficient.
* Excellent noise levels.
* Excellent thermals.

Needs Work:
* Once the motherboard is in--and especially with a chunky air cooler like the Noctua NH-D15S--things get really cramped in there quickly. The CPU power socket and the system fan pins in the upper left corner of the board are almost impossible to reach in this case. Even better if there were an extra 10-20 mils of height along the top edge of the motherboard.
* The BeQuiet logo cable cover to the right of the motherboard needs work. It's so close to the ATX board and the opening is so narrow, it makes it nearly impossible to route the thick main motherboard power cable. I ended up shooting it straight out in a really awkward way that cannot be great for the cable.
* Installing fans with the motherboard installed was nearly impossible. Lots of swearing and the purchase of a stubby philips head screw driver later, and they are finally in. Even better if the case had removable fan mounts that could be slid in once the fans were attached to the frame.
* I'm having trouble controlling and syncing the RGB on the front with two Phanteks NEON Digital RGB strips. All are plugged into the mobo, but I can't find software that can control them both. I don't care enough to find a solution, though. I settled on a soft blue glow on the case and matched the strips using the Gigabyte RGB app. Since I don't change these ever it wasn't a big deal.

One word to the wise: I purchased 5 Arctic P14 fans thinking the non-PWM Silent Wings that were included in the case weren't controllable (based on a previous experience with the non-DX 500 case a few years ago) or up to the task. I was wrong. This wasn't necessary and is totally overkill. In fact, I made it worse, not better, with regard to sound. The included fans were perfectly silent and up to the job.

5.0 out of 5 stars Second case i'v purchased, best case i'v owned.

Ok first of all i'v heard alot of good things about be quite! but dang this case is amazing. It has so many places to route cables, the build quality is amazing for the price. Comes with a glass side panel which is held in by thumb screws which is kind of a bummer but that's not even a complaint. It just takes a little more effort to get into when you need to and if you're like me and don't plan on really upgrading anything anytime soon I don't really see it as a downside. The case has GREAT airflow and man is this thing silent. It comes with 3 pre-installed budget be quite fans which is sick, they are also fairly quite so I don't think that's a downside plus I picked up 2 extra fans of the same type to all and all tie this thing together. The case comes with some sound dampening foam on the back panel. has a lot of dust filters including on the bottom and top which are removable for cleaning. The front panel has 2 awesome strips down the front which look amazing, the leds are fairly bright so if you don't like that then I guess that might be a downside but if you are buying a case with led's why would you not want to use the led's... anyways the case also comes with an led light strip pre-installed on the top of the case on the inside toward the front. It's already pre-hooked up to the front led panel's so when you change the lights via the botton on the case it all changes together. if you have a 3pin rgb header on your motherboard you can also hook up the lights to that and control them via whatever software your motherboard uses for lights. all and all an amazing case and is so much better then the last case I purchased. hope this review helped someone!
