5.0 out of 5 stars Small, But Gets the job done

I used this yarn to crochet a tiger for my cousin's graduation, and it was fantastic! The cotton-nylon blend is incredibly smooth and soft, making it a joy to work with. Unlike acrylic yarn, there’s no fuzz, and it’s easy to see each stitch clearly, which is perfect for beginners, making the whole process smooth and enjoyable.

This yarn is very similar to the Woobles brand yarn, but at a more affordable price. I appreciated the bright and true colors, which made my project look vibrant and professional. Lastly, the yarn is machine washable, which is a huge plus for any handmade item. Overall, I highly recommend this yarn for both novice and experienced crafters alike!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for beginners

Works good. I started with woobles to learn and bought this because I wanted to try an actual pattern from a book and it’s exactly as described. Doesn’t fray easy to use as thick as the yarn I’m used to. I haven’t found any knots yet and I’m on my 3rd one. It’s soft and easy to use.

This yarn is super easy for beginners. It's pretty and works up nicely. The only problem is that the skeins are so small.

I order from Amazon all the time and never write reviews, I honestly think this is my first time lol but I definitely wanted to let anyone know who is learning to crochet for the first time that this yarn is PERFECT for beginners!
I bought a woobles kit a few months ago and returned it because trying to make a plushie for my first time crocheting ever was too much for me and figured it was better if I just learn the basic stitches myself off YouTube before I attempt a kit like the Woobles again. I bought a thing of acrylic yarn from Michael’s and it kept splitting horribly that I couldn’t even get past chaining with it. What I liked about the woobles was how easy their yarn is to use, but it’s expensive. This is basically the same yarn, I get no splitting whatsoever and super easy to move my hook through. I only took off a star because it is very small, smaller than what is lead on in the pictures, but other than that I love it! They have more shades of yarn than the woobles too. Will probably buy more colors!

5.0 out of 5 stars Really nice quality

This yarn has a nice hand-feel. It is made in a way that I can't split the thread apart. I am new to crocheting and the first yarn bought was "twisted strands" that was harder to work with. This yarn is great for beginners to be able count stitches and know where to insert the hook. I am making 30 chain squares for dishcloths as a way to learn several crochet patterns. Also working on doing a better job on holding the yarn with tension more constant so the gauge of the piece is accurate. This "fatter" yarn makes great dish cloths and perfecting my crochet technique easier. Easy to see a mistake quickly and back up.

3.0 out of 5 stars Harder to work with than regular yarn for amigurumi
Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2024
When I started trying to crochet, I tried to learn with this yarn, but it is genuinely so tough to push and pull through stitches that it was causing me a lot of pain and I figured crochet couldn't be for me. I have since tried again with standard and chenille yarns without issue, which I'm glad I did because I can now crochet fairly well. I recently tried this yarn again since I still have it to see if it was just because I was truly that much of a beginner when I tried it to begin with, but no.. it causes me wrist pain because I have to try to force my hook through the loops. Also, the inner core of the yarn seemed to disappear deep inside it at times, leaving just the outside liner yarn as an empty shell which was frustrating.

What I will say though is that you can absolutely see the stitches and that is very helpful for beginners. Also, even with an adequately sized down hook size for amigurumi, I still got significant gaps.

Edit: Sizing down further and yarning under instead of yearning over made it possible to not get giant gaps, but this yarn still is very hard to push a (metal) hook through and, as such, caused significant wrist strain. Also, the seller is willing to help rectify issues and sent some tips on my crochet which, if I were still a beginner would potentially have been helpful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Knot in middle of yarn UPDATED
Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2024
This yarn is great for beginners. Easy to work with and doesn’t fray. However, I was in the middle of a crochet project and came across a knot that had been tied in the yarn. The yarn had been cut and tied back together.
As a beginner crocheter, I wasn’t really sure how to handle this other than to try to work it into the crochet project.

I don’t think this is normal so I wanted to mention it in the review. Personally, this was a bit of a bummer, because I couldn’t fully hide the knot

UPDATE: I was sent a replacement yarn. Thank you for the great customer service. Increased star rating from 3 to 5

5.0 out of 5 stars Works Great for Small Projects
Reviewed in the United States on July 23, 2024
Bought this to make a single amigurumi and had barely any yarn leftover. This product is great if you're trying to make a single project and don't want a full spool of yarn. It's exactly like easy-peasy yarn, seems to be the exact same thickness as well. Super easy to crochet with!

Carefully look at the images though so you have reasonable expectations of the product size, even I was a little surprised how small the spool was, but it worked perfectly for me!
