After purchasing our pool recently and living in an area with winds that generally average 35-40mph, we quickly realized we needed a better cover than what was included with the pool. After reading reviews online and focusing on the covers ability to stay put in high winds while keeping cost friendly, we decided to grab this cover. It’s OK. The material is that of a light duty tarp that you’d get from HF, with eyelets and a coated cable with a metal tensioner. However, even with the cable cranked down, the wind wins and has pulled the cover off several times now. It will stay for the time being, but we are looking for something not only with heavier duty material, but something that will actually stay put with the wind.

But, there's a big problem with it. Even though it looks good, the materials they used to make it aren't strong at all. It feels like they chose the cheapest stuff they could find. Because of this, the pool cover doesn't seem like it will last very long, which is really disappointing.
The biggest issue I had was with the hand winch. This is the part that's supposed to help tighten the cover so it stays on the pool. Well, the drum of the winch pulled out of the frame (which is soft aluminum) causing the cable to loose tension. This ultimately led to the cover coming loose letting pine needles and leaves in.
So, even though the pool cover has a good design and should work well, the poor materials and the broken hand winch make it not as good as I hoped. It's kind of a letdown when you buy something that looks like it'll be great, but then it doesn't work the way it should.
