So We’ve had our Pool for 12 years now, it’s an 18 x 33 Oval. I’ve tried numerous pool covers over the years from Expensive to Cheap; none of which ever actually fit the pool, Until Now! This Cover is not Cheap but it’s not the most expensive either but the best part is it actually covers all sides of the pool without any problems. Normally I would have to weight the sides to keep the cover on the pool. This pool cover stayed in place all winter long with no weights or clips and no debris entered the pool. IDK how long it will last but it survived the first year better than most. I will certainly purchase this pool cover again.

This made in America pool tarp is absolutely worth it. Is it extremely high-quality, with Gromit holes all around, and a cable tie that help secured in place with a winch. I have had several pool covers that weren’t anything like this one. Most are cheap and don’t last one season. I have a feeling this is gonna last a long time.

Durable, yet not super heavy. It takes a beating for a year or two, then starts separating. It what I would expect with the harsh conditions It goes through on our pool.

Summary of Issues:
1. Not an actual pool cover
2. No drainage holes
3. Shape was entirely wrong.
4. No value for money
5. Size was totally wrong
6. Not designed for pools
I purchased this with the expectation that it was an actual pool cover designed for an above ground pool of the specified size and shape. My pool is an oval 12X18 above ground.

However, when I unboxed it I discovered it to be nothing but a generic hardware store variety tarp. It is not designed to cover an actual swimming pool at all.
There are no drainage holes. When it rains water accumulates on the tarp and stays there attracting mosquitoes and mildew. All of my previous pool covers had drain holes and were resistant to algae and mildew.
The product description says “Robelle 351218-4 Super Winter Pool Cover for Oval Above Ground Swimming Pools, 12 x 18-ft.” However, this item is much larger. Its so big that it extends over 4 feet on all sides of the pool causing a real problem when there is wind. Also, it is not OVAL as specified. It is clearly rectangular. My previous covers were all oval and fitted with a cord to secure it to the pool. This thing comes with an undersized rigging that is too small for the plastic fishing line they supplied to secure it.
Not only is its specification all wrong but it is not even a pool cover. It is a common hardware variety tarp worth less than half what I paid for it on Amazon.

It is simply not what I expected when I ordered a pool cover. I could have just gone to the hardware store if all I wanted a common tarp.

They say to go one size up from the size you need. Listen to them. I sent about 1.5 sizes up, and it’s very big…. But it works, it just looks a little sloppy. Make sure you read instructions and let the cover lay on the water. If you have any sharper edges, use a towel or something soft to prevent the chance of ripping. I cannot believe how inexpensive these are. I’m glad I spent the extra money amd paid for the more durable one. We had one made a few years ago for a few hundred dollars. This was around $80 and is twice as strong. Aloha

Tarp was okay. Did not last a complete year. Some fading and tearing due to high winds, rain and cold. Will have to purchase a stronger one.

Honestly, My neighbor has several trees that drop leaves & debris on my pool cover every year so for me this simple cover does the trick! It’s not expensive and completely covers my pool.
