Really like this quick and easy firepit. Basically just two ceramic pieces, a cup/bowl for the fuel and an exterior holder. The bowl nests right in the outer holder and the weight of it holds it in place. Pour some fuel (I used isopropyl alcohol) and light it. That's it. Presto, flames without much smoke. Higher grades of fuel (91% isopropyl or denatured alcohol) will burn even cleaner, but not a huge deal outdoors.
Unlike wood fires, DO NOT use water to put this out. It'll splash burning fuel around. The strange metal-disc-on-a-wire is a damper. Use it to cover the bowl and it'll cut off the oxygen supply and extinguish the flame. Just remember it was on fire previously and is still hot, so let it cool before handling.
This is great when you want a quick easy fire. No wood required, just pour in some alcohol and light it.
