These shooters are really cool looking. They have a really neat skin on them which is a lot different than just the plain plastic of many of my sons other dart guns. They work well. They’re a little bit difficult to pull back so the child does have to have some strength. It’s not for the toddler wanting to play with big brother necessarily. Overall they work well and have that neat sonic theme to them. They are also smaller in size making them appropriate for on the go play. They are more no frills and the most unique feature is the skin.

For the size these little nerf weapons pack a punch. The design is very detailed with vibrant colors. Great quality and decently priced.

These guns shoot extremely far. My son has played with some X-shot guns before, but these seem way stronger. The Sonic the Hedgehog side art is a nice touch -- my son likes Sonic, so that's why we picked these up. They're easy enough to operate, and they fit in the hands of older kids or grown ups. Not sure about young kids, but also not so sure young kids should be playing with these, because they definitely pack a punch.
I like how they have a place to hold a couple of spare darts under them. My son's previous X-shot guns could only hold 1 spare, so having 2 in a gun that's basically the same size is nice.
If you lose the darts, X-shot darts are for sale everywhere. I saw a pack of them at the dollar store recently. These are quickly becoming the new standard in dart guns. If you like the Sonic designs, I'd say that these are worth a shot!
