4.0 out of 5 stars Binoculars = not for close up

While these are technically night vision goggles, they are really meant for looking at things NOT right in front of you - plan to look at things a bit further away than you expect. While all the features work, the IR setting is the best quality, so that's what I rely on. Since my hunting usually takes place in frigid weather, I find that using an external USB battery pack is the most effective and efficient use - those 8 AA batteries drain quickly in cold weather.

This is definitely meant for hunting or similar applications, not for finding your phone in a dark house, or whatever. Plan to use them outdoors for further distance animals, with an SD card to save your photos, and enjoy!

Love the features on these. Easy to view, upload, and use. The charge holds very well.

I guess it depends on what a person wants these for . I found them heavy and hard to hold. Also I bought these to see in the dark but I could only see where the lights were on. The packaging was real nice . But no thanks I can already see in the dark when I turn on a light without holding glasses up to my face..

3.0 out of 5 stars Good picture, poor zoom
Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2023
The picture quality on this was pretty good and impressive. I kept charging this up and nothing would happen so I used it with a battery pack USB power supply before realizing it takes 8 AAA batteries. Ouch. It is pretty intuitive to use but has limitations. The biggest issue is the zoom is pretty awful. You can only see what you can see in reality, it doesn't really zoom in so calling them binoculars is a huge stretch. I can only see what I can see with my eyes already and no further. It says 5x zoom, but my image is about 30' away from the tree at most and that's the most I could zoom in. It's such a narrow slice of what you can see that I found it to be very limiting and I am struggling to find a use case where these would be very beneficial. Basically if you wanted a flashlight to see something right in front of you but couldn't use a flashlight for whatever reason. The price for what you are getting seems to be too much.

The infrared seemed to be the best feature on it and it worked flawlessly metering light between bright and dark areas. I have used real night vision binoculars from police issue and I could see across a river to check on someone's welfare. I expected these to be less than that but way better than what they are. If the infrared worked as well as it does with a capable zoom, these would be amazing.

Took me a bit to understand how to operate it properly but once I did it was so cool. Great quality, sturdy heavy-duty material and really great picture. I like that I can actually take pictures and record with it. Great product I highly recommend and am very happy with.

5.0 out of 5 stars They actually work very well!

I was actually impressed on how well these Night Vision Binoculars worked. These binoculars come in a really nice carry case and comes with everything you need except the 8 AA batteries needed to power the thing up. The package comes with the binoculars itself and 2 cloth bags. One contains the neck strap and the other has a 32GB memory card, a cleaning cloth, and a USC-A to USB-C cable. The cable is to hook to your computer so you can view or download your saved images.
The screen you view is nice and bright and has good resolution. There are 6 buttons on the top of the unit. Powers, a filter/mode button let you select between 5 different filter settings to see at any time of the day or night, inside or outside. Works very well. The M button gets you into the menu to make changes to the setting. The OK button confirms any changes you make as well as its your shutter button for the camera feature. and the +/- buttons zoom in and out. On the bottom of the binoculars is the focus wheel.
The binoculars can actually see pretty far and be able to make out objects and animals in complete darkness. The only weak part of these night vision binoculars is the camera. You have to be extremely still when capturing a scene. There is a screw insert on the bottom of the binocular to be able to attach it to a tripod.
All in all, this is a great pair of night vision binoculars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly Clear Live Picture at Night
Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2024
There is a lot to like with this night vision set of binoculars. And there are some things that you should be aware of.

What I Like:
-the clarity of the picture when using the Infrared lighting is fantastic. The internal infrared illuminator does an awesome job of putting out a nice wide, bright beam to a decent distance. I can see the tops of 60 foot trees with crystal clarity. I actually saw a flying squirrel here in NY (didn't even know we had them, but learned so after I looked it up.
-the zoom is pretty god as well. Not awesome, but it works decently.

To Be Aware of:
-the is really no internal memory - either use the card or your pics will disappear when you shut the device off
-use the included USB-c to USB-a code. I tried one of my own and it didn't work, even though that cord works with multiple other devices I have.
-the quality of the pics during the day is not very good. And it's even worse at night with lighting. Not exactly sure why, but the night pics under IR seem much crisper - I assume this is due to the technology using a different sensor, etc.
-they're binoculars. Trying to look at anything with 20 feet will not be easy / smart.
-this thing gobbles batteries pretty quickly. Use rechargeables.
-the memory card inserts upside down (metal facing up.)
In summary, I would say that this is a decent pair of night binoculars. You're not going to publish any pics from this device, but you'll be able to see what's around very clearly. The buttons work well and it seems decently built. Not rock solid, but pretty close.
