My daughter is joining dance this year and I remember from growing up that Capezio was a good dance brand. But we’re not committed enough to dance for me to spend the top dollar price tag that sometimes comes with dance classes. So I first looked at target for ballet shoes but theirs weren’t the quality I was looking for. Since I was on a time crunch, I decided to check out Amazon and found capezio ballet shoes for a killer price! These are perfect. Only thing I can warn a person of is these seem to run small. I ordered a whole size bigger than usual and those were still too small. I’m exchanging them for the second size up. We’ll see! But overall, the quality and the price point are perfect.
**UPDATE** 2 sizes up were a perfect fit! And this price point is an absolute steal! These same slippers/shoes were for sale in the studio for $28!! I’d call this a win. Don’t hesitate to hit that ‘buy now’ button!

So. I know that when it comes to ballet points and slippers it becomes a very puzzling choice in regard to the correct size to choose.
For this specific model (Daisy 205), my dilemma worked out like this:
Instead of deducting my daughter's shoe size from her pairs of shoes - which might change depending on the different brands and manufacture - , I measured her foot on the Kid's Shoe Fit Guide printed sheet. Result: 11. On the Capezio's website it's shown for each model what is the size recommended compared to street shoe. For this model, since the result from the measurement was 11, Capezio's chart was suggesting 11.5.
I went for the 12 just to have extra space for growth and, for her average width, I ordered M. Well, the shoes came in and they're perfect.
The size 11.5, as suggested by the company, would have been just fine, but thanks to the strings of the ballet slippers they can fit her already now, allowing some room for the coming months. Soft touch, original design, pretty look, beautiful quality.

These work great. They are durable and last a whole year. I bought them and paid a full price for these. Now they go on sale for less than 60%. I ordered 2 pairs. Love the wide fit too. So comfortable!

These shoes fit true to size for us. My daughter wears a size 11 shoe and I purchased these a size up based on comments - they work but are a bit larger than I would have preferred (thankfully kids grow fast). The shoe is a bit wider than I would have expected also, I purchased the medium width and it was a bit lose on the sides for my fairly medium sized kid. Quality is good and the shoes will last a while - so well worth the purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars The sizing chart is acurate

The quality of these shoes are nice and I think that they will last a while. There was some confusion about which size to order and I wish that I would have just followed the sizing guide provided. In regular shoes my daughter wears about a 10.5 and I ordered her a 12 for these ballet shoes, which is too big. I did measure her feet though and they are about 6.25 inches. Have I had followed the sizing guide I would have gotten her an 11 which would have fit perfectly. No biggie though. The elastic bow tie, that is pictured, is not just for looks it actually tightens the shoe around the foot.

I went to a dance wear store before, and they recommended Capezio for my daughter, since her feet were a bit on the wide side. I asked to try Bloch anyway, and Bloch is definitely more narrow. They are very soft. These are true to size. Get the same size as you would for street shoes. They are a bit of a tanish pink, so if you want very pink, then you will be disappointed. I actually like the color because it doesn't look as artificial. The ones I saw in Payless are the same hue. The pink ballet shoes I saw in Target are very pink but like the Payless ones are stiff. They both cost more than than $14, which is what I am paying for this shoes.

There were conflicting reviews about what size to purchase for a child. Some said street shoe size, others said 1 or 2 sizes larger. I ended up ordering a size 12 for a size 11 foot. The shoe is a little big, but I was able to pull in the elastic bow to make it fit better. I'm pretty sure the 11 would've been a perfect fit, but I'm ok with room to grow. But the slipper itself is beautiful and so much softer than the Payless brand. We'll be ordering more of these.

The shoes were beautiful and great quality. I followed the size chart and ordered a 12 but it was to big. I ordered an 11 (street shoe size) and it fit her with enough room for her growing feet. I would def order again when she grows out of the shoes.
