5.0 out of 5 stars Lovin' Lightspeed
Reviewed in the United States on September 5, 2012
Unlike other short story mags Lightspeed is well formatted for the Kindle Fire. And I can't say enough about the content; great stories by popular Sci-Fi/fantasy authors and newbies alike. And the author interviews are an added bonus. I hear they are up for an award and it is obvious why they were nominated. Now I have a long list of authors to check out further...
Oh yeah the e-book bonus novella is great too! Well worth the $1.99 subscription!

5.0 out of 5 stars Electronic is as good as a magazine

I loved these magazines when you used to be able to get them from a bookstore. The quality is just as good in electronic format, so dive in. You won't regret it

4.0 out of 5 stars Good read for the price

I have been buying Lightspeed for a couple of years now and always enjoy the stories. Not all of them are to my taste but enough of them are entertaining and thought provoking that I will continue buying it. Comparable to Clark’s World in content and readability. Few if any obvious editing mistakes. I enjoy it thoroughly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great mag for SciFi and Fantasy

I like reading SciFi and fantasy authors who I have never heard of. This is one great way to read what's happening on the cusp of SciFi and Fantasy.

3.0 out of 5 stars only able to download to one device

Magazine is good but Amazon has a one download limit - Bought it on my tablet but wanted to read on my kindle - I was told no as it had already downloaded on the tablet that I was ineligible to download it for the kindle... Starting to loose my patience with this kind of garbage.

2.0 out of 5 stars Contains pornography
Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2019
I did not expect explicit detailed sex scenes. I recommend science fiction to teens because that is how I ended up in physics and engineering for a career. I cannot recommend this magazine to any of my teen friends. There are some really good stories but ...don’t need more pornography, thank you. It just cheapens the quality of the other stories.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great blend of storytelling
Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2013
There's a lot here for any sf/f reader, and I'm very fond of the blend. It's a good mixture of both fantasy and sci-fi, and for the most part I find the stories here to be more accessible and engrossing than other competing magazines. An excellent read all round.
