4.0 out of 5 stars Decent Basic Piano
Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2024
Decent but a bit flawed basic piano. It plays very nice and the weighted keys feel good. Playback sounds very good, is very responsive and plays as many keys as you can press at the same time, the only real complaint is volume, it drops noticeably as you go up in octaves. Everything else, electronics wise, appears to be completely underpowered, any of the advanced functions are very laggy and get overwhelmed easily, if you go anything more than slow it eventually stops responding to key presses. Considering the price and valu, using it as a basic piano, even with the minor flaws I would still give it 5 stars and would definitely recommend it. The stand however is a complete piece of junk, flimsy and actually too big for the piano, and those are the good parts. It took me SEVERAL HOURS to put it together, both because the instructions were completely useless (even after figuring it out on my own they still don't make sense), and not a single bolt lining up on it, the inserts were ALL completely crooked and off and had to be adjusted hit or miss (see pic), which takes forever and will test your patience. If you don't have plenty of patience, I recommend getting a different stand and throwing this one away as it will likely fly out a window anyway...

5.0 out of 5 stars A Piano with More

This portable electric piano is pretty cool. It can be switch to other sounds, but just as a piano, it's fun. My husband put the little key markers on to help himself and anyone else who wants to learn how to play it. When on of the granddaughters came to visit last weekend, she had loads of fun "playing" it. It's not unlike a basic keyboard, but something about the wood look and the keys makes me feel like we have a piano in the living room. One of these days, I'm going to learn to play more than the one little song I learned on the accordion when I was nine! The price isn't bad at all, either.

4.0 out of 5 stars Overpriced for what you get but some considerations...

I have mixed feelings about this. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. I was able to figure out how to assemble the stand, but more by trial and error because the instructions were very poor and minimal. There are a lot of features like different keyboard sounds, but the booklet that came with the keyboard doesn't say what any of them are. You have to move through and try out each option to see what it is. I like the weighting on the keys; it's not as realistic-feeling as, say, a Clavinova, but better than a cheap keyboard. The sound is okay but not top-notch. It does come with a pedal that is supposed to have a sort of damper/sustain feature; so far it seems to glitch a little from time to time and doesn't always provide a smooth sustain.. It is an upgrade from the inexpensive keyboard I had before and a little more like a piano.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Starter Keyboard

This has been a wonderful addition to our house!
My 9 year old daughter has been inspired to learn the piano, due to the welcoming nature of this keyboard.
PROs:
Sounds excellent, with many tones available
Aesthetically pleasing wood finish
Easy to set up
Note stickers included!
Headphone connectivity
Volume control

CONs:
The music/tablet holder does not stay in place very strongly. For sheet music it is fine, but when someone is interacting on a tablet it will sometimes give way and topple over. If you put the wood piece in vertically, it actually works better for holding a tablet (but looks stupid).

As mentioned, having transparent key stickers with the notes called out is such a huge help for a beginner. It is a small add, but really appreciated.
The look of the keyboard is awesome, as it is great to not have another thing made of black plastic sitting around.

It is wide so definitely make sure you have the space!
Recommended for sure--
