About this item

Do you find yourself fighting negative thoughts and feelings every day? Do you wish there was something you could do to be more positive? Are you tired of being controlled by your emotions? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then you are going to want to keep listening.

Negativity is a normal part of life. Nobody can be positive all that time because life isn’t always going to be perfect. That said, sometimes negativity infiltrates our minds and bodies and never leaves. A good day can be ruined by your mind dwelling on something stupid that happened years ago. You sit for hours ruminating over it, and before you realize it, you have wasted a great day. We’ve all had experiences like that, and they suck. Here’s the thing, though; we can’t let that continue to happen. We have to take control of our minds instead of being at the whim of our thoughts and feelings.

That’s what this book is here to help you do. It’s no easy feat to stop thought processes you have had your entire life. It will take some work, but with the right tools, you can learn how to rewire your brain so that you are happier and healthier.

In this book, you will learn about:

  • What thoughts are
  • The difference between our thoughts and our core beliefs
  • How our emotions and thoughts work together
  • How to manage your emotions
  • The importance of a growth mindset and how to develop one
  • How negative thinking can hurt you
  • The major causes of anger
  • The difference between pessimism and optimism
  • How to develop awareness over your emotions and thoughts
  • How to silence the inner critic
  • How to use Cognitive Behavior Therapy to reprogram your mind
  • The importance of gratitude

We’ve all felt sad, happy, angry, mad, disgusted, excited, and numb. It’s normal for emotions to change throughout the day. What isn’t normal is always feel down or feeling as if you have to force yourself to be happy. We shouldn’t be pessimistic about everything because “somebody always lets me down”. If you have used the statement, “if it weren’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all”, then you likely need help for negative self-talk. It’s not okay to feel like you have no other options but to feel bad. You have the right to be happy, and you can learn how to be happy and more optimistic.

It’s time to step out of the darkness of negative thought patterns and take control over your life. How to Stop Being Negative, Angry, and Mean, is here to help you do just that. If you are tired of feeling sad all the time, scroll up and click “Buy Now” right now.

5.0 out of 5 stars NOT a boring self help book, it’s the missing piece I’ve been searching for.

This is the first book in a long time that I have finished and actually felt enlightened and that there is hope again. I’ve read it front to back and review each chapter every so often to refresh my brain on the information and techniques that I have highlighted (and I have A LOT highlighted).

If you’re anything like me and felt hopeless when it came to controlling emotions, especially anger, to the point where it was affecting your marriage, work ethic, and mental health, give this book a try. I’ve been trapped in a negative mindset for so long, but now I know how to escape.

I never leave reviews because no book has ever left me so satisfied. I will recommend this book to everyone I know.

I want to personally thank the author for making a powerful impact on my life by creating such an easy read and sharing valuable life long information.

I found this book very helpful to the issues I was trying to find help with. I have read this book twice now and am putting into practice what I have learned, I was reluctant to read a self help book, but now look forward to reading more books by Richard Banks.

When I saw the title of this book I thought it was written specifically for me. I make George Wilson from “Dennis the Menace” look like George Bailey from “It’s a Wonderful Life”. So I was hoping for some concrete tips on how to stop being, well, ME.
Alas, while there were a few such suggestions, the overall theme was “You know the way you are? Well, cut it out.” Believe me, it is harder to not be a misanthropic old grouch than to lose weight AND stop smoking. Here’s my suggestion, no charge: read a lot more books, and watch a lot less TV. But mostly books written before the Nixon presidency; writing went to pot after that.

This book was largely a regurgitation of what you’d expect if you’ve done any other reading or research on the topic, but if you’re brand new to the topic some of the ideas are helpful. I found the writing style disjoined, there didn’t seem to be common themes or any real connections between the chapters. Also dislike the linked promotion of the authors other works and products of their friends/colleagues that didn’t seem overly relevant.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book also accepts the negative emotions and that seems more realistic

It’s easy to say “just don’t let anger take control of your life.” but far harder to live it. This author takes us through how we think, affects how we feel, and to change the effects we must change the thought process. One of the most powerful pieces of advice is to accept your feelings. Many books offer techniques about deep breathing and meditation, but often these are given to release the emotions, or ease the emotions. We are doomed to repeat them if we don’t at first accept them and analyse them. It is ok to be angry, but how we channel that anger, and why we feel that anger is important.
