Had my doubts about ordering this as it states that it is refurbished. Was kind of expecting it to come in a generic box, maybe some scuffs and scrapes on it, battery life diminished, etc.....I was wrong. Speaker arrived in an original JBL box, packaged just as if it were factory fresh, looking absolutely brand new without a single cosmetic blemish whatsoever, and battery life exactly matched my other new Boombox2. Bought this to fill by back yard a little better with sound using the PartyBoost feature. Works perfectly and battery lasted just a few minutes less than my brand new Boombox2 playing at same volume level. Very satisfied with my purchase.

When it comes to portable sound, JBL has it on lock. This speaker has incredible sound with every layer distinguishable from the other. It can get loud and makes our beach trips that much better.
This speaker is worth every penny. If you love music and want to party, than this is the speaker for you.

Purchased this JBL Boombox 2 as a "renewed" item believing that Amazon's guarantee of 80% battery life on renewed items was truthful. It's not. I paid over $400 and the battery died 10 days after the return cut-off point of 90-day period. Of course! Tried to work with the seller to no avail and their return e-mail had the audacity to end with "Have a great day" Seriously? So then went to Amazon customer service and they filed an "A -Z" claim on my behalf (representative I spoke to said my money would be refunded) Amazon returned their verdict, "Claim denied!" (Complete with the little exclamation point) so now I have a $400 plastic box. Will stick with ebay from now on. Thanks for your "help" Amazon. I'm done. On a positive note, the speaker was AWESOME - while it lasted - I'm beyond disappointed and don't have the money to spend on another speaker.
When I got the XP 500 the box was damaged but the speaker was fine but it sounds best if you keep it plugged in cuz running off its internal battery it don't get as loud relative to its size so it sounds fine just mainly want to use it while it's plugged in

Take the JBL Boombox2 on your next adventure was a nice handle to take on the go with you and Wayne in 13 lb it's not too bad of a walk with a JBL Boombox too to your friend's house or put it in your car and take you on the go speaker come with dual 4-in woofers and dual 20 mm tweeters it is 60 watts while unplugged and 80 Watts if you plug it in which would mean it will get a little bit louder and push out more Bass if you don't want to spend the extra money getting the JBL Boombox 3 then you can save and get the JBL Boombox2 which will not disappoint it is still very loud and indoors it can get ear piercing at times with so sharp highs overall you really can't go wrong with the JBL Boombox 2

My first real Bluetooth speaker was JBL flip 3 it lasted 4 years now it needs a battery I invested in the Boombox 2 and I have no regrets at all the sound is incredible .
