Paying $6 for a case is the best deal on the market for these new kindles right now. It is more TPU gelly-like and gives a sticky tactile feeling that has almost disappeared. I have a black 2024 Paperwhite and it fits great, and I placed a Magsafe Popsocket on it and it's good to go. I also bought the Cobak folio case for traveling, which was a great price too (just waiting for that to arrive). I honestly don't see any issues long-term with the case but it wouldn't surprise me if it were to start to yellow over time if it was outside in direct sunlight. It is bound to happen.

Bottom line: $6 is a great deal for a case protector and being one of the very few companies out there to get their product out there quickly since there was no leak or early announcement of these new devices.

This case is well made, easy to put on, and seems like it will be very protective. If you don’t want a whole cover/case, this is the way to go. Put a film on the screen and you’re set. It feels good in your hand and lets you enjoy the pretty color of your reader. For the money, this is a great investment.

I bought this for my Colorsoft, and it is a nice case. The issue is that the sides aren’t fully covered, they are basically fully out but the edges are in.

I would not recommend this case if you got it to put an insert in the back, since I am assuming that’s why mine has the gaps.

This fit my new Kindle Paperwhite Signature (2024) edition perfectly. Not tacky to the touch, no smell, and it doesn't cover up the lovely jade back cover. Nor does it add significant weight. At this price point if it should eventually turn yellow, as some clear covers do, I won't mind replacing it with a new one.
