I like a good pen. When I found these I was in heaven! They write very well from the time you first start using the pen until it is out of ink. No skips, no having to mark on a piece of paper to get the ink flowing...... it is 100% dependable. The other thing I like is that you can unscrew the barrel of the pen and know how much ink you have left. I still write a few checks instead of using a credit card. The ink in the pen helps to prevent fraud. I especially like the price point for a high quality writing pen!

I tested this pen by writing on a check and then also used a regular gel pen. Soaked the check in water just to see if there was a difference. This uni-ball gel pen had a more intense flow of ink and when exposed to water, it really smeared the check with a deep color. The regular gel pen was also difficult to remove but didn't smear as much. The medium blue point writes smoothly. Took a few seconds to dry -- which is okay if you are using these for security purposes.
