A fun way to get you in the Christmas spirit. A cute short story. The cover is so pretty too.

I enjoyed this read. It was cute and the mince meat weiner mobile was funny. This isn’t my favorite so far in this series. I thought the MMC didn’t have much of a personality - so it was hard to root for him and the FMC. Maybe if we had his POV, I would feel differently.

4.0 out of 5 stars It was cute and spicy

I would have liked to see this as a full length book, but with that being said there was plenty of good things in this story. The tropes of forced proximity and unrequited love were very much felt. Things got intense when things got revealed when they were stuck together. They were really cute together. Things got extra spicy between them, and this was where I could have used a little bit more development. The setup was a little weird too, but other than that this was a very solid read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Could have done without one of the characters

This one was another odd one in this series that I felt could have been better. Nina has had a crush on William for a long time, as they have been working together as adjunct professors at the university. They're now working together in this weird holiday gig with one of their friends and colleagues. Only Nina is completely convinced that William and Claudia have something going between them. I get being absent-minded professors and having doubt about a man's feelings, but had a hard time with her denial. And then, if Nina and Claudia were such good friends, why weren't they talking about it? I'm still not quite clear on what Nina thought she saw as evidence between the two of them. And if Claudia wanted Nina and William together so badly, why wasn't she playing up to both of them? Honestly, Claudia felt like an unnecessary addition to the story and was offloaded pretty quickly. I think this story would have had better flow without her. I also didn't quite buy super shy Nina suddenly letting loose in quite the way she did, but stranger things have happened. Another one that fell short of its potential, but still an easy read and not a total waste of my time.

Cute very short story. I think I enjoyed it more because I listened to the audiobook than I would have reading the ebook because AA is one of my favorites. There wasn’t much chemistry between the main characters but as a socially awkward person myself I could appreciate aspects of their relationship. Other parts of this story were a little odd. I’m not familiar with this author and listened to this book as part of the series so I don’t know how this compares to her other books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Trapped in the Mincemeat-mobile in a snowstorm - Met my expectations for a 55 page read

Nina and William are adjunct faculty at a university. Many of us are well aware how poorly compensated adjuncts are, and how few benefits they receive. That made me sympathetic to their need to take a short term gig selling Mrs Claus's Mincemeat Treats, traveling around the East coast in a repurposed weenie-mobile (and all the gags that go along with that). Nina's best friend Claudia is also travelling with them, and Nina had confessed her William crush to Claudia, but since Claudia is a classic absent minded professor, had apparently forgotten. Now Nina thinks that William and Claudia are "together". But one long wintery night on the road with Claudia at her parent's house and Nina and William alone, Nina learns the truth.

I'm puzzled by the low reviews on this - my expectations for a sweet, slightly steamy, Christmas romance were met, and I enjoyed the story.

I didn't like this one. It was a bit boring and I had to restart it and I started the audiobook and really didn't care for the narrator especially of her male voice impression. Had a lot of potential but just fell short for me in all the areas.

A perfect quick, cute, and funny short Christmas romance book. The author did such a good job in description that in such a short book I could pictures the characters and the “food” truck. Loved that this felt like a small part of a possible bigger picture book too (I could see a story about them rioting the college about poor teacher advancements and pay)
