This was a gift for our 5 year old daughter who loves music. She was quickly able to insert the mouthpiece and get it in and out of the carrying case. Very lightweight compared to a brass trumpet but still sturdy and it has surprisingly realistic sound. Size and scale are indistinguishable from a real trumpet. Perfect for young kids to explore their interest in playing trumpet. Overall we loved it!

The original shipment arrived quickly but was missing parts. When i submitted a return, the new one arrived before i even had a chance to send the incomplete one back. Would have been 5 stars, but I had to disappoint the recipient of the gift when we discovered it wasn't able to be played.

Vendor sent me a replacement that worked, without me even asking. They really value their customers!! Leaving my original post below, because it was a defective, and the vendor jumped right on it to correct it!

Original post- It doesn't make a sound, just looks like an orange trumpet but makes no sound at all.

Literally this silenced my trumpet so well without compromising a lot of the tone. It’s great for me to fiddle around and learn more without scaring the cats in my house. I’m also a fan of the mouthpiece, it’s pretty sturdy and a bit wider than my current so it’s a pretty good learner MP. I’d recommend!
