Marvin absolutely loves this ball but he kept tearing the cover off and then removing the plug where you charge it at. I took a long men’s sock and tied it in there problem solved.

My dog Spider loves this ball but it stopped holding a charge after like 4 charges and I’ve got a ton of these balls but this one didn’t last very long :( (please send me a new one) he is still playing with the ball even tho it doesn’t work anymore but it gets stuck under the couch and due to his hip dysplasia he can no longer get it without me. He also gets bored of it fast because it doesn’t move compared to when it does he can play all day and all night for hours and hours and hours. He barely played with this one before it stopped holding a charge :(

This toy has two different modes rolling on its own or bouncing around on its own. Very entertaining for the dogs and keeps them busy but I have some cons. The ball struggles to roll on carpet but it is very annoying when it bounces on the hard floors.. it took two seconds for my dog to destroy the cover it came with and the ball itself is very hard plastic the my dog struggles to carry without the cover. It is also very noisy but the ball itself is durable to chewing. So I like it cause it does keep my dog entertained but it definitely has some flaws.

I had high hopes for the PetDroid Interactive Dog Ball, especially with the newly upgraded features and promises of durable, motion-activated fun. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to expectations for my furry friend. Here’s why I’m giving it 2 stars.

Promising Features, Lackluster Results
The idea behind this toy is fantastic: a durable, motion-activated ball that would entertain my dog without much effort on my part. The ball is supposed to roll around on its own, keeping my dog engaged and active. However, in practice, it just didn’t capture my dog’s interest.

Durability
I will give credit where it’s due: the ball is well-made and seems durable. It can withstand some rough handling, which is great for more aggressive chewers. Unfortunately, durability doesn’t mean much if your dog won’t play with it in the first place.

Motion Activation
The motion activation feature is hit or miss. While the ball does move around as advertised, it didn’t seem to move in a way that intrigued my dog. He gave it a sniff, watched it for a minute, and then walked away, unimpressed. I tried multiple times to get him interested, but he simply wasn’t having it.

Lack of Engagement
The biggest issue is that the ball just didn’t engage my dog at all. It might be more suitable for a different personality type or breed, but for my pooch, it was a total flop. He’s usually quite playful and curious, so I was surprised by his lack of interest.

Final Thoughts
Overall, the PetDroid Interactive Dog Ball might work for some dogs, but it was a miss for mine. If your dog is easily entertained by automated toys, it might be worth a try. However, based on my experience, I can’t wholeheartedly recommend it.

Did not engage my dog
Motion activation wasn’t intriguing enough
Might be more suitable for specific dog types or personalities
If you decide to give it a shot, just be prepared for the possibility that your dog might not find it as entertaining as you hope. For us, it’s back to the drawing board for a more engaging toy.

Our dog is obsessed with these balls. We have three now since at least one goes missing for a while until we find it under the couch or someplace similar. Our dog likes it best when on a wood floor so that the ball is even noisier. Not great for humans but apparently what is very entertaining to a dog.

I bought this for our pup last year and she loved it ! We have a mini goldendoodle and she ripped apart the outside of it and now she just chases the ball around (a bit noisy on our hard floors without the cover but oh well!)
I went to charge the ball and it was lighting up but when I removed it from the charger it wasn't working. I contacted the email on the box and had a response by the next morning. I gave them a screen shot of the purchase and within a couple of days they sent her a new one!

Holds a great charge haven’t timed it but it’s been good; Also Don’t take long to charge (again haven’t timed it ) . The only thing I have not liked about this toy is the cover comes off easily( ball is loud without the cover on tile or hard wood floors). I found a mesh/rubber like ball at the pet store and put the toy inside and it’s worked wonderfully. We bought two of these toys to have in a few places and one she has played with one without the cover. it has gotten beat up but it still works and charges like new . Would buy again.
